We've come full circle: once people called aircraft carriers "islands that move" now people call islands "natural aircraft carriers".

Fun historical fact, one of the main reasons the PLA couldn’t pursue the ROC during their retreat to Taiwan was because the ROC retained greater control over the Chinese Navy. Following the ROC’s retreat, the PLA in China didn’t have a functioning navy, as the ROC had essentially “stolen” it.

completely amazing..presentation, graphics ...everything!!.

This was super informative and educating, thanks for creating this.

Take a drink every time RLL uses some form of the words "massively," "vastly," or "dramatically." Godspeed.

As a citizen living in the Philippines, this is scary AF but all true. The research to make this video especially the Philippine related parts of the video are all extremely accurate.

Amazing content- thanks

Very impresive. A lot of info, good footage and analysis. Well done.

First time seeing the Myanmar civil war being acknowledged as a major piece of the geopolitical chess board in a video. Good job!

Real life lore never fails to scare us 💀

Compared to last time I saw a video from you, I think you've vastly improved your vocal inflections to be much more natural. Great job.

Very informative..well done !👍

At about 30 mins in, you referred to the Australia -France submarine deal as "nuclear." It wasnt, it was for Australia to buy French diesel-electric submarines:)

I cant tell you how grateful I am for you keeping background sounds to the bare minimum, so many long from channels render themselves unwatchable/unlistenable for long periods of time due to have obnoxious sound effects for key dates and a very loud background track which does not fit the tone of the topic. Thanks again.

One of your best videos. (commenting for the algorithm)

What an outstanding presentation! Well researched, excellent visuals, absolutely first class story telling. You make 50 minutes go by in a flash! The complexity of geopolitics is hard enough to understand, but your channel makes any university professor envious! Bravo 👏

Note: Tindal isn’t being built from scratch. It already is (arguably) the most important and largest fighter base in Australia. The US is facilitating MAJOR base upgrades to support the stated B-52s and other visiting aircraft for joint exercises such as Pitch Black and Talisman Sabre. It’s pretty nifty ngl

US military terminology: "deployed" implies impermanent presence, which could be work trips and so on. I think the word you are looking for as far as US presence in SK and Japan is "stationed", which is a large majority of those numbers you mention. These are troops, and their families, who have picked up their belongings and moved there on a "permanent" basis, with the expectation to move out after 2-6 years. Meanwhile we have troops "deployed" in eastern Europe, as we have not STATIONED them as in moved all their belongings, but rather packed up a bag and flown them there for a few weeks or months.

Excellent work, congratulations.

Great video thanks
