A few answers to the frequently asked questions I'm seeing: 1) How much did the government pay you? Answer: Nothing, I was paid $0 to make this video. I just took a private trip to China and brought my cameras. 2) Was this a government-sponsored trip? Answer: No, I chose the factories I wanted to visit and a Florida-based bicycle trade group helped me with connections. I'm just a private guy with a few cameras. 3) What if the factories hid the stuff they didn't want you to see? Answer: They probably did. 4) Why aren't you eating meat? Answer: Health and environmental reasons. Why does what I eat bother you so much? 5) Why didn't you go to a labor camp? Answer: Because my channel is about bikes so that's what I went to see. When I visit the US for videos, I don't go film the child labor abuses or lack of affordable health care. 6) Why do you support the CCP? Answer: I don't. I ride bikes. I hope this helped answer any burning questions!
  • The anti-China bots were the first to comment. It's hilarious. I'm an expat been living in Shanghai since 2013, so I've seen China change so much in my time here and it is an amazing country with amazing people. Haters will hate, but it won't change a thing. Doing business with China is the smartest thing one can do! Great video and good luck!

Our western media really did a great job to make China like a uninnovative boring scary parallel world, especially the shock after visiting there by ourselves is quite amusing for everyone. Nice video, bro.

speaking as someone who has spent 30+ years living and working in SE Asia, this video rocks. well done. so well produced. it so nice to see that you always maintained the "guest" attitude.
  • I fly to China every 10 days or so….exclusively to Shanghai. I have been very pleasantly surprised at this jewel of a city. The people are very friendly, hard working, honest and dependable. The city itself is immaculately clean, more modern and better built than ANY city in USA. It rivals Tokyo in cleanliness and beats Tokyo in infrastructure in my opinion. But I believe the openness and warm hospitality of the people is what makes this my favorite large city I have ever been to….great video

I’m a 72-year old grandma and have absolutely no interest in e-bikes. However, I was curious about your visit to China and your overall experience while you were there. Western media has fed us so many negative aspects of China and from what I saw in this video, nothing could be further from the truth. China is a very modern and innovative country. It is way ahead with the use of its high speed trains or bullet trains, the factories, the treatment of its employees, the cleanliness, etc. . . Those factories sure did not look like sweat-shops to me. In any event, I was very impressed with the content of this video and your overall experience in China.
  • @MrBagusbah
I watch China videos for knowledge and some insights as I'm planning to visit China and I totally avoid those China-hater's comments. I'll go there and see for myself which would also include the lower tier cities.
  • @conroybogle3713
We often take for granted that "Oh, it was just 'Made in China' " But from this video there's so much planning, design and implementation that goes into making almost anything.
  • @BillyNoMate
Wow! if sweat shops look like this then I must be working in a prison.
  • I really enjoyed learning about these factories in China and about the culture there. Although things are done differently there in most cases, the final outcome is much the same as it is here in our country. Thanks for the video, I really did enjoy it!
  • @qi-cd8op
A three-wheeled “human-powered” vehicle from our New York logistics company costs $80,000, while an “electric” vehicle made in China costs $600.
  • @jaliranchr
Really enjoyed this trip with you, Micah. Remembering the images from China in the 70s and 80s (yes, I'm old) with all the Chinese bike traffic jams, I find it fascinating that now they are producing the very bikes we are riding now with the coolest technology.
  • @loooongtimeago
Those who keep saying China’s high speed train system is a white elephant project because of profitability should learn what it means to the economy as a whole by watching your frequent and highly productive trips.
  • @lullimuppi
China is not taken seriously in the German media. I wish there was so much confidence in the future here. These impressions are pleasant and open my eyes. Respect

I watched your video with great nostalgia. I am a retired software engineer and 15 years ago I was sent to Beijing to train a group of young engineers to join my development group. I didn't want to go, but after some gentle persuasion I went. For a month I taught and worked with the sweetest group of young people that you could imagine. They were so attentive to my every need never even fell asleep in my long technical lectures. :-) We had very open talks about everything under the sun at noon while we walked in the industrial park. We remain friends to this day. Thanks for the memories.
  • @10lauset
I travelled to China and especially Shanghai in the mid 1980s. The air was from ICE vehicles, industrial factories and coal patties for cooking. Not too good for a person with asthma or COPD. These ebikes and vehicles all look amazing. Can't wait to visit again. Cheers.
  • @Casper-zk2uc
