It is sad that even Furina could feel that something is different about herself after Focalors sacrificed her life. Truly tragic but also beautiful...

First seeing Navia cry over Melus and Silver, then seeing Furina cry for her pain, then seeing Focalors sacrifice herself, then seeing Neuvillette cry for Focalors... Man too much for me, I burst into tears man... Hoyo nailed the archon quest

Focalor didn’t sacrifice herself as “price” for the original sin. She’s a hero

if anyone's wondering, the text in 1:56 said "its been tough for you, furina", then "pray, live blissfully, as a human, for that is what i wished for"

Hoyo doesn't fail to make me cry... Seeing Focalors say "Hydro dragon, hydro dragon, don't cry", seeing Furina and Focalors dance, seeing the unbearable pain and suffering of Furina for 500 years and seeing Neuvillette cry heavily after Focalors die... Man all of this, I couldn't take... I burst in tears😭

500 years. 500 fucking years Furina had to keep this secret to herself, literally no one to confide in. Day and night stressing and feeling powerless as her people suffered and died. I just can't fathom someone going through such a helpless situation, yet all by herself. Furina deserves the best 😢 😢😢

I love how Focalor herself really says that Furina was the perfect and ideal human with how selfless she was. Never allowing herself any sort of selfishness ( like confiding with the traveler to ease ur burdens) for fear of it sacrificing fontaine

For those who don't understand it yet: Focalors was formerly an Ocenaid whose wish, like the other Ocenaids, was to live a life as a human. The former Hydro Archon Egeria granted their wish, but broke a very big law to do so. Creating a new human race without the consent of the Heavenly Principles was forbidden. For this she was supposed to die as penance and that's why there was this prophecy that the Hydro Archon was supposed to die and a great flood would come over Fontaine that would turn the people back into Ocenaids. Only then would Fontaine be cleansed of this sin. In order to save the humans, the new Archon, Focalors, split her divine side and her human side (she was both). Her human side, Furina was supposed to pretend to be the Hydro Archon (which she sort of was, but she was separate from her divine part) and focalors herself were waiting for the big day of the fulfillment of the prophecy. All of this took 500 years. By sacrificing herself and thereby destroying the Oratrice (because she was inside it), she was able to give the powers back to the Hydro Dragon and destroy the throne of the Hydro Archon (so there can be no more new Hydro Archon, because the Hydro Dragon has his full powers back). This gave the Hydro Dragon the power to transform the Fontainiens into real humans so that they didn't have to become Ocenaids. So in the end everyone was able to continue living as humans as they wished, including Furina. So Focalors and Furina are the same person, you can think of it like two sides of a coin. But she had to split these two sides so that she and the other humans could survive as humans. So a part of Furina/Focalors died. And in the beginning, before the division of both sides, it was the decision of both because they were one. So for people to say that Furina had no other choice is wrong. She was previously one with Focalors and even though she couldn't remember after the split, it had originally been her choice too. She also endured so many years and lived in fear for so long. It took a very strong will and a lot of talent to master this task. And even the other Archons now have a voiceline about her and they all respect Furina a lot for her actions. Since the people in Fontaine unfortunately don't know what Furina has really achieved and the only information they have is that Furina has deceived them for 500 years, Furina also takes on the hatred of many people. For me she is/was the best Archon so far. Edit: I made a mistake. The prophecy was not that the Hydro Archon would die, but that she would sit alone on the throne and weep while the rest of Fontaine and its people perished. It was Focalor's idea to sacrifice herself. Through the trial she gathered strength in the Oratrice and it took 500 years to gather enough energy to kill a god (herself). Since the Hydro Archon had started a sin before her (Egeria), the Oratrice naturally showed the Hydro Archon during the trial as guilty and since Focalors was inside the Oratrice, she was able to direct and chose suicide as punishment to destroy the Archon's throne. Since the prophecy still came true, because Furina was sitting on her throne weeping alone as a human and the flood had actually come over Fontaine, Focalor's was able to deceive the Heavenly Principles. Since Neuvillette had his powers back and had complete control over water, he was able to give real blood to the people of Fontaine and turn them into real people so that they didn't have to disintegrate. (Sorry for the confusion, I had to rewatch the scenes myself twice to understand it properly)

I legit cried real hard on this scene, can't hold it anymore once the sword thing is dropped on to Focalors and when Neuvillette says that the Fontainians' sins are forgiven and the rain starts getting real heavy

First, Rukkhadevata, and now it's Focalors. They're really ramping up the archon related feels, aren't they.

3 years of waiting and now the show has ended, I may sound like a child but Fontaine was one of the reasons I play Genshin... I cried like 10 times during this story quest

So, in the end of the Quest, Neuvillette reveals that he received the Hydro Gnosis on this scene. This scene looks suspiciously similar to the scene where Venti gave Dvalin "The power of the Anemo Archon". This Archon Quest also revealed that the one telling the truth was Nahida and that Venti was lying regarding the source of an Archon's power.

Beauty isn’t just a word to describe the God of hydro. But in essence a being who wanted nothing but to save her people even at the cost of her own life. She couldn’t be human like she wanted but had that be Furina instead. Truly a God in every sense of the word
