Every attempt from the Elephant Bar Deadlift, Event 3 of the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic, now in a condensed edit with no lag time between athletes or lifts. Original event date: March 4, 2023, Columbus, Ohio.

With this challenge, each athlete has 3 attempts to establish a max weight (inside a 60 second time cap). The Elephant Bar challenge also doubles as a Rogue Record Breakers event.

Coming off a great showing in the Austrian Oak, the foursome of Trey Mitchell, Bobby Thompson, Mitchell Hooper, and Rob Kearney once again set the tone to start Day Two at the Arnold, as all four look capable of flirting with the 1,000 LB barrier.

"You're not going to pull that on one leg." Brian Shaw 2017 has entered the chat.

This Elephant bar Deadlift should never be compared with the likes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 ASC EBDL where Hafthor: 1046, 1041, 1026, 1011, Jerry: 1031, 1006, Eddie: 1025, Brian: 1021, 1021, 1016 and JF: 1021 showed us what BRUTE STRENGTH is. In 2020 Hafthor retired, and 2021 RI saw a max pull of only 926, hence they changed the EBDL to T-Bar Squat in 2022 ASC and even gave them a suit and still only saw a max 966 "equipped" squat. In 2023 ASC they not only allowed briefs at the EBDL but also had the audacity to compare those brief-equipped lifts with Hafthor's World Record which was done raw. Having said that, I'm glad this year there will be no briefs allowed.

Crazy that the winning weight was a routine, casual opener for Thor in 2018-2020.

For those saying that these performances dont compare to previous performances in this event. 1. This was the first time that the deadlift at the arnold wasn't the first event and was instead on the 2nd day. The athletes had done the wheel of pain the day before this. 2. Many athletes do not focus on top end deadlift strength the way Eddie and Thor did in their prime. 3. Pavlo, if he wasn't injured, probably would have still done 1k+.

Mitch barely didn't win but honestly he was pretty much the only one of the last few whose form was top notch all throughout, no hitching whatsoever, he looked like he could have put on 15 more pounds and still have gotten it
