These people found big bucks, and gave it back. In 2017 a California man returned a wallet filled with hundreds of dollars and credit cards. His good deed was recorded on a doorbell camera. In 2016, a Buffalo Wild Wings waitress saw an envelope with $100 bills left on a table by a customer and turned it in. In 2020, a man returned a bag with $27,000 to a credit union. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

I was at a movie theater a couple years back and found a lady‘s wallet with over $5,000 in it. I didn’t trust the theater to do the right thing, so I rummaged through the damn wallet and found that the lady had put a found card in there with her number on it. So obviously I called her and told her were I could meet her. When I met her she was crying because that money was for her daughters college tuition. She tried to give me a big tip, but I said I had already received one. Always do the right thing when no one‘s looking.

the misdeeds of a few people can never eclipse the goodness of others. Kindness and morality prevails

$1,700 was very possibly someone's rent payment or for a bill. Much RESPECT to ALL the honest folks for not RUINING SOMEONES DAY & possibly getting them EVICTED or in SERIOUS TROUBLE. 💙

I'm a trucker and my previous client paid me in cash for delivering this load, after delivering the load I wasn't able to get to sleep until almost 2:00 in the morning I was dead tired. I remember hearing someone knock on my door while I was sleeping but I was just too tired and apathetic to bother checking it. When morning came I found my wallet tucked into the door handle complete with all my credit cards and the $700 cash still in there. I don't know who was the nice person.
  • When I was 11 years old I found a wallet with $600 and several credit cards. My mom helped me find the man who owned the wallet. When he saw all of his credit cards and cash he was so impressed that he handed me the $600 dollars. My mom made me put it in the bank.

I'm so proud of these honest kids and people for returning the money they found. Not a lot of people would. When I was 16 on vacation in Waikiki Hawaii with my dad I returned a wallet that fell out of a man's back pocket. I ran, picked it up and got the man's attention. I thought he would thank me for my good deed. Instead he snatched his wallet from me with force and looked through it like I took something from it. I got accused of pickpocketing him! 😲😢 I was disgusted by him yelling at me. I thought he was going to hit me too. Thank God my dad and other people saw it happen and defend me. I was so upset by his behavior that I started to cry. My dad cussed him out along with other people. It taught me to be careful when returning things. I return things I find, but keep my distance when meeting the owner because of this situation. Not everyone is a good person. Sometimes people set these types of situations up to con you in the end. Be careful!

Years ago I was going to the public pool with my family. On the way, we stopped at one of those ice machine hut things, and got a bag of ice. When we got to the pool, I went to grab cash to get in, and noticed my wallet was missing... I was so devastated, I didn't have much in it, but it was the only cash I had to live on for the next 2 weeks. I raced back to the ice machine, and it was gone.. we just went home, and about 10 minutes later, this random truck pulls into the cul-de-sac, and something told me, they're here for you. I swung the door open, and raced to the truck. This amazing couple had found it, and brought it to the address on my ID. I was crying, I was so grateful.. I will never forget that, it truly did show me how some people can be honest, and wonderful.

Some people would say they were stupid for not keeping the money. It’s only stupid to people who lack morals.
