I like how Charlie is wearing rainbow sweater and it's fitting in Charlie's design for theatre performance.

"You had your last meal and it sure hit the spot" is such a deliciously dark line knowing what happens to violet in this adaptation

I like how right after the song ends some kid in the audience yells "GREAT SCOTT, SHE EXPLODED", someone better teach that kid how to behave in a theater

While a downgrade from Juicy, I'm at least thankful Vi gets an oompa loompa song in this version (unlike Broadway) and I'm happy they at least have lyrics from Juicy

I can’t wait for the tour to hopefully get a cast recording, I would love to actually hear this song clearly.

Well if you listen closely, you can hear ‘juicy is a girl called violet b’ which is a nice nod to the original Douglas hodge/alex Jennings version

saw it and it was the best show i seen in my life
  • I love the instrumental here, but I prefer Juicy due to the darker but funnier lyrics. Plus the egotistical celebrity Violet transforming into a disco ball feels more karmic than a basketball.
  • I think I learn that juicy is a song when violet's father is with her but now you got a whatcha is a song that her mother is with her

I don’t mind this version but I do think I prefer Juicy. I think they should have kept the original effect for violet blowing up too with hiding a fan in her backpack and pumping up the suit to make her swell. I can understand changing the music as it’s a personal choice on which song you like best, but I do believe the previous effects were better than her ripping her skirt off and popping out a cage under her shirt. On another note, I oddly really like the steampunk robot Oompa Loompas. Edit: the more I listen to this song the more I love it. 💜

it is noted that the songs of the oompa loompas are mixtures of the london West end version and the Broadway version😮

When I did this show this song was genuinely so hard to sing
  • @descalante64
I wonder if in this version she just either exploded from randomness or from being thrown into the air and against the wall.
  • Augustus his scene was just nightmare fuel...you get to see a dummy of him being made into fudge and it scared the crap out of me ...
  • Imagine a different version where she’s used as a bowling ball in Wonka’s version of a Bowling Ally.
