I worked at a gas station at one point and I'd have customers that would buy a bunch of lottery tickets, go out to their car, scratch them off, come back in and buy more with whatever they've won and do that until they start losing and it really is quite sad to see.

Scott is so right about the eye exam stuff. I am always so worried of saying the wrong thing somehow and messing with my Rx. I also worry that the eye dr thinks I'm dumb for not seeing well, though I know it's ridiculous.
