Let's be honest, if Tanjiro had said that Nezuko was his sister any earlier, they would've become best friends Edit: thank you so much for the likes guys. I really appreciate it
-
Jonathan shrinking his lung to make a 2 inch gap is the most jojo thing ever, we just want speedwagon explaining this to us
-
Not only do they both have techniques involving breathing, they both lived around the same period in the 19th century and are contemporaries of each other.
-
That last part of the fight was really moving. Respect for Jonathan. He is indeed a gentleman.
-
Jonathan crying and being emotional towards a man he just met (and killed) while having a sword inpaled thru his chest is the most part 1 thing ive ever seen
-
Johnathan dodging at the last second there was quite possibly the most Jojo thing ever.
-
"Demons made tanjiro cry but a demon cried for Jonathan" are words that always ring true to me
-
TANJIRO LEARNED HOW TO BREATHE 24/7?! EVEN WHILE HE SLEEPS?! WHAT KIND OF BLACK VOODOO MAGIC IS THAT?!
-
Man if tanjiro opened with the “She’s my sister.” He would’ve easily lived.
-
You cannot out-shank a Bri'ish
-
I liked that at first Jonathan was after Nezuko mistaking her as a servant of Dio, but when Tanjiro told him that she's his sister just before dying, Jonathan swore to protect her in his place to make amends to him. It shows how honorable Jonathan truly is.
-
two things. 1: I love how they portrayed Jonathon and Tanjiro, I legitimately believe that if these two fought that this would be how they'd react. 2: I am really hoping that if they ever do a death battle that involves Nezuko or another one with Jonathan, that the fight scene would be cannon to this one, with the two traveling together with Jonathan keeping his promise.
-
Let's be real though. This fight would 100% have been avoided. Jonathan would absolutely ask about Nezuko before actually attacking.
-
that ending lacked approximately 5 minutes of jonathan's internal monologue as he marvelled at Tanjiro's honor for defending his sister despite being a monster
-
Of all the voice acting in Death Battle, i think Jonathan's is my favorite. His good nature sounds so genuine, and yet, every single "Overdrive" is so primal, ferocious, and mighty
-
That SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE hit me hard
-
This battle will honestly be painful considering it’s literally two of the nicest characters fighting over a misunderstanding, if Death Battle rules weren’t included these guys would be best friends
-
In an alternate universe Jonathan Joestar: On my honor, as a gentleman, I will destroy all of Dio's creations Tanjiro: I don't know who is that but, this is my sister and I'm trying to cure her Jonathan Joestar: She's your sister! Please accept my apology and on my honor, as a gentleman, I will help you on your quest. Tanjiro: Thank you And that's how they became breathing bros
-
I like the similarities of Jonathan letting Tanjiro stab him, and Jotaro letting Anubis stab him since they’re both super deadly in close combat. If that was intentional, it was a good move by DB to include it here.
-
I really loved the detail of the battle, even the final notes, the second to last note ascends and sounds like the start of Roundabout and then it cuts off as Nezuko pulls back, almost like the end of a Jojo episode, "To be Continued".
