  • the most interesting thing about his wickets is that most of the batsmen knew it will be an in-swinging yorker but still they were not able to stop it, he was furiously fast in his heydays
  • He and Wasim Akram was one of the best bowling attack I saw with deadly swinging yokers
  • Fascinating to watch one of the all-time great best fast bowlers in the history of the game, Waqar Younis. He was a real joy.

Watching Pakistan Cricket team play in the 90s was a treat, indeed.

Two biggest unmatched phenomena I have in sports, still looks so unreal after all those years are 1) Waqars in swinging yorkers which swung in the air before landing on the target. 2) Roberto Carlos’s unusual swing in the air with his free kick. They were unique master of their respective trades.

Young Waqar was a sensation of his age especially when he was picked up as Wisden player of the year in 1992. 90s era of World cricket truly belonged to Ws..

If you make a king ( Lara) kiss the turf, you know you are best

Didn't watch him play live...But have heard about the Pakistani bowler's glory from my elder brothers...Also about many other international and Indian players...What a great time it was to enjoy the game...Love from India...Just admirable bowling

I'll be honest, I've been watching cricket since last 27-28 years almost but I have never seen better yorkers than Waqar Younis so far. Those inswinging yorkers were literally unplayable.
  • 89-92 waqar was express. Best strike rate and average but suffered 2 really bad injuries which left waqar with less pace so then remodelled bowling action several times and introduced an outswinger and slower ball
  • @iamiqbal0179
I think no one can beat Waqar younus in swing bowling
  • @rkc2306
What a bowler Waqar was, I even today loves to watch highlights of Waqar and Waseem. What a fantastic bowlers they were. ❤ and respect from India!
  • @fiazalikhan
A bowler who doesn't need bowling pitch. He is killer on all surfaces.
  • @ibinfo-tube5063
Epic swinging yorkers and the rippling sounds of the flying wickets, you can't find a pacer alike but only WAQAR YOUNIS 💪
  • @omarx2449
What a bowler. That one to Phil Tufnel looks excruciating
  • Waqar We remember that time we go win this macth where waqar, He is truly world best bowler in the history with his accuracy. We miss u 🧒
  • No Doubt in,History Of Cricket No One Never Touches 2 W Class. 1st Waqar and other Waseem Akram. One Was the King Of Yorkers and 2nd one was the king of Swing. Amazing Fast Bowlers they Both Was. There Bowling Never Forget.
  • You can see a huge difference in the speed in between 1989 to 1992-93 and then 94 onwards. Waqar had severe back injuries cause missed out 1992 WC.
