  • Title should be “99% of people who played Emerald know these things”
  • To be honest, Pokémon Emerald was one of the most complete main series games. An enhanced version of Ruby/Sapphire with additional features, a challenging post game (wish someday Battle Frontier or something equivalent return) and a considerable amount of special events (like Deoxys or the Southern Island which brings some magic to the game), make this game into a game with a great replay value. Thinking clearly the third generation, specifically Emerald, was the peak of joy in my childhood. I remember to have in my school almost everyone's secret bases in my game.

Never encountered Mirage Island. :'( but my mom always got me the guide book. Something she does for the games to this day even though I'm an adult now. It's a pretty cool tradition I'm spoiled with

Emerald was the game I squeezed out the most. Literally 999+ hours and a ton of EV trained mons. I truly had a blast.
  • it’s actually sick how much hidden stuff was put into these games. i feel like the recent games don’t really get the same treatment
  • As a kid I used to think that in the space center you could travel to the space with that rocket and catch jirachi 😂😂😂
  • @klaus7228
who here got a 15 IQ and knew all of this
  • @rizwanadar6750
Emerald , the third editions and old remakes ( platinum, hgss , frlg) have that modern Pokemon feel with added features that make you feel more invested in it😃

"You'll need to collect Ash" Putting the character Ash into my pocket
  • @slashersoul2380
Seriously? Kyogre and groudon cave are on this list? Thats bs. Literally everyone knows these caves since getting all 3 legends is one of the main reasons the game is so great
  • @robbymanable
If I had a nickel for every time I caught a Feebas in a GBA game, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot I know, but it’s weird that it happened twice
  • @love2rogue
man every single day i hunted for mirage island as a kid thinking thats how you got the deyoxis l0l
  • @HRCFre4k
This is imo mostly common knowledge. No mention of the holy grail aka Pomeg Berry Glitch? No mentioning of the girl that you have to make to laugh which needs a unique password? No mentioning of tiling errors or ways to walk on Water? No mentioning of the fact that some european countries can't even have a legit Celebi? :P
  • I absolutely loved that you could get the Johto starters in Emerald despite it being extremely time consuming! I actually bought a second Emerald way back then so I could get all 3. I was trying to complete my Emerald Pokedex and didn't want to have to restart my main file. I got the first Johto starter in my original file. I then proceeded to beat my other copy of Emerald twice, catching every Pokemon both time, so I could finally get all 3 Johto starters in one file. I was very proud of my dedication in doing that.

Lmao I encountered mírage island when playing as a kid and was confused cause I had countless hours on the game when I first found it.
  • Stuff like this is the reason why it's not fun to look at a game known as Sword and shield and go deeper and discover

The flutes are awesome to get. The red flute snaps your pokemon out of attraction, the yellow flute snaps your pokemon out of confusion, and the blue flute wakes up a sleeping pokemon. Sorta like the poke flute. You can use the flutes in battle and I think you can use them outside of battle too. They save you a lot on awakenings, and also saves you a lot of problems that come from being confused and "in love" from attraction. I think the black and white flute just affect the number of wild pokemon that appear while walking through grass.
  • @erikburgos744
I used to be mad af as a kid that i couldnt use my legendaries in battle frontiers
  • @ggdatboi
Never got Deoxys, never knew about he roof top sales, never got a feebas, no Eon ticket, never got into mirage island, didn’t know about the phrases for berries, and many other things. Guess my emerald experience was lacking.
