Today Dr Ingky, our resident Skin Doctor, reviews 2 Tiktok Famous Cleansers!

The CeraVe story began in 2005 after experts noticed that many skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and dry skin all had one thing in common: a compromised skin barrier. Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe offers a complete line of skincare products that contain three essential ceramides enhanced with a revolutionary delivery system to help restore the skin’s natural protective barrier.

(I have extremely oily skin) I've been using the 2nd one shown for "oily skin" and I love everything about it! It leaves my face feeling refreshed and hydrated without the "squeaky clean" feeling which I hate cause I know it's disrupting my skin barrier. I accidentally bought the 1st one because packaging is almost identical and ended up not liking it. It left me with a heavy sticky feeling after cleansing. I gave it to my husband who has eczema/dry skin and he has no complaints.

your videos are really helpful and your just really good at explaining how they work because skin care can be so overwhelming thank you . ! :)

My dermatologist recommended this brand for my sensitive skin. Love it! Only thing I can put on my skin and not irritate, no red or rashes . I use the green bottle for cleansing and follow by cerave cream.

I think it also depends on where you are. I use Cerave foaming cleanser (oily skin) and while I lived in Cartagena (Col), hot and humid tropical weather, it was amazing, but now that I live in Stockholm, the weather is cold and less humid, so I feel this cleanser is a bit disruptive for my skin. I would use it for summer, though.

I really love 2nd one. I will definitely buy it again. But their pm lotion caused me terrible acne.

Also, people with dry skin - buy the ceraVe hydrating cream. I only use that one as moistruiser. Doesnt break me out, it sinks into the skin, doesnt leave it oily but soft and juicy✨ i love it. I use it in the am and pm. For info i have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin :) ❤️

it's sooo frustrating that great products like Cerave are not available here in SE Asia. Even if it is likein online shops, it's soooo expensive dang. 😫 Between the two, I prefer the foaming type since a little goes a long way. It just feels clean but not to the point you feel you're skin is too stretched. And great job to Dr. Ingkey for reminding us that parabens are not actually that bad like those skin enthusiasts/influencers who started the fear-mongering against parabens.

Hydrating is for cold dry countries and enzema/dry skin. Foaming is for tropical humid rainforest country skin types very oily skin

I love your energy. You seem like such a cool person to be around and this is coming from someone who has social anxiety issues and no friends. lol Very informative video.

I have dry skin, and for some reason, I feel a burning sensation while using THE HYDRATING FACIAL CLEANSER. So, I switched to a FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER but before that, I clean up my face with HYDRATING CREAM TO FOAM CLEANSER (I love double cleaning), during the day, I'm using Spf50 Cerave. And it works. I have been having problems with acne for the last couple of years, and now it's soo much better.
  • @gustavo-ro4ft
i used hydrating facial cleanser and moisturizing cleanser since i have combination skin and it left my skin feeling super moisturizered but then i switched over to the foaming cleanser and sa rough and bumpy lotion and it leaves my skin super soft and smooth

I recently purchased the SA Renewing Cleanser from Cerave, meant for normal skin, and it was surprisingly good for both face and body.
  • @gabrielav5334
I’ve been using the 2nd one shown, but I’ll consider purchasing the 1st as well now. Thanks
  • Cannot lied anymore about this cleanser, my skin (breakout) more than a years. recovered by using this brand! I used hydrating cleanser + SA cream. Within 1 weeks plus everything (bump n acne) is gone! Very recommanded
  • I have used Cerave cleansers for years. The last time I purchased it, I bought the Cerave Cream to Foam Cleanser for Normal to Dry skin and love, love, love it. The creaminess and foam textures in a single experience are an indulgence.
  • I love Cerave products. I'm using the hydrating cleanser and moisturizing cream. I'm struggling with acne scars, but my skin texture slowly gets better now. Edit: As I got a lot of questions if Cerave really works for acne skin, I share an update here. A year has passed, I'm still a loyal user of Cerave. It helps my skin barrier and moisturize my skin greatly. Did it help with my acne? Not really. So I had to up my game. Once my skin got better, I used more products to treat my acne and soften the dark spots. Currently my skin routine for daytime is Snail Essence - Vitamin C - Azelaic Acid - Moisturising Cream - Mineral Sunscreen. Night time: Snail Essence - Retinal - Moisturising Cream Twice a week I will exfoliate with chemical exfoliants. If you have acne, try acne patch. No need to use high brand, Watson brand already do the wonder. It helps to minimize (?) the acne spot without leaving the scar. Remember, don't pinch it okay. Big no no. Does this skin routine help my skin? Yesssss. I only used the products recommended by the dermatologists (including Dr Ingky - love him! ❤️). Or I learned from them on how to read the ingredients and buy products that I believe is good. I can't thank you enough to all Dr who spent times to educate us. Love them so much ❤️🙂 Most importantly, listen to the dermatologists. Learn from their YouTube. Know your skin type and learn how to read ingredients. Their advices saved my money..a lot!
  • I am using the hydrating one....its not as soapy as my old cleanser but i prefer this one since its not making my skin felt so dry and rubbery....will use this from now on

The 2nd Foaming Cleanser has two version: US vs Europe. The US version contains paraben while the Europe version does not but replaced by phenoxyethanol.
