The Nintendo Switch is out in full force. It knocked 2017 on it’s heels with an arsenal of games that will go down in history as some of Nintendo’s best. Super Mario Odyssey blew away all expectations and brought the Switch to the forefront of this console generation. Time and time again, Nintendo has shown that games and mechanics win console wars and not graphics alone. However, today’s consoles do more than play games. They connect to the internet, host streaming services and a whole cavalcade of features. Now Nintendo, brilliant in their game design, yet stubborn in their hardware, have been slow to embrace things like Online play and fail to do it as well as their competitors, but they make up for this with convenience features most systems don’t put stock into today. The Switch not only facilitates the need to game on the go, further solidifying Nintendo’s dominance in the handheld market, but the Switch has a whole host of features you, as a Switch owner, may not know about.
