My uncle the man who raised me because of a dead beat dad. Served with the United States Armys 75th Ranger Rgt. He was killed in Afghanistan in 2012. Im leaving to basic training january 12th and i can only pray i can live up to his memory and be brave and stoic when my time comes. Rangers Lead The Way!!!

Cry not at the grave of your soldier, for he is not there. His body may rest in that plot of land, but his spirit lives on. He is the strength and courage of every living soldier who carries on with the fight. He is gone, but never forgotten. Only the fallen have seen the end of war and touched the gates of Valhalla. They will live in eternal glory, the life force of liberty.

  • I praise to men who stormed the beaches of Normandy (D-Day) on June 6th 1944. Those men were the definition of brave.
  • Being from a strong military family and hearing this song makes me cry and someone who also loves his country thank you all past and present.

I want more songs like this. They have a meaning beyond girls and trucks. These are the songs I listen to.

As retired Army Vet that suffers from PTSD, depression and anxiety and also had to say Tilvalhalla brother to a guy I grew up with, this hits hard. He suffered from the same mental illness and took his own life in November! 😢😢😢

I am proud of our three generations of war heroes. My dad was in WWII, I was in Vietnam, and my son was in Iraq.

If you do not know what Overton Hill or Omaha shore is. Please do your research in honor of the soldiers this song mentions

I'm not a soldier, I never served, I never fought on the Frontlines, all I am is a patriot who mourns for this country. For all who have served and have lost their lives in battle against the enemy, I will always bleed red white and blue as long as I live but I mourn for it now because we are losing our freedom. We are losing what America was built on, America has lost it's honor and but many patriots has not. We honor those who've lost their lives, we pray for those who are still grieving over their loss. No greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. To everyone who's served and seeing this I want to say thank you for all the sacrifices, blood, sweat and tears you've put in to protect this nation. All have gave some but some have gave all, I am proud to be a patriot.

My grandfather passed on October 4th of this past year. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. The day we laid him to rest with the rest of his brothers and sisters in arms this song came on later that day after the ceremony. It will always remind me not only of my grandfather but the men and women who fought and gave their lives to protect all of us here at home. To all active and non active service members and to those who gave the ultimate price thank you, not everybody says it but they should. Thank you for your service.

Every coward will cheer for war. Every warrior prays for peace as they ready themselves. One will fight. One will find a reason not to.
  • To all the fallen heroes you didn't die in vain we live on because of your sacrifice
  • US Army here. Trace I want to thank you for supporting my brothers and sisters in arms. Since the military has gone WOKE I’m honestly lost respect for the higher ranks (commander in chief). I will always support my brothers and sisters in arms but WOKE has NO place in the military

My Dad was a WWII VET, and wounded twice in the Pacific theater. I'm glad my Dad came home to bring me down into this world! Thanks Dad!
  • I come from a long line of Navy men who gave their lives for this country. This song speaks to me. As a choir nerd it gives me chills every time I hear the choir at the end. Thank you Rob Crosby for writing such a beautiful tribute to the men and women who gave it all for our country.
  • My grandfather served in the Air Force, I never met him but my mama and grandma told me stories of him, and every day I thank him for his service.
