Just a couple minutes in and the advice of “just pick one building” is already so helpful. Like, why didn’t I think of that 😂

Favorite tip: see if you should change the layout of your paper by drawing a border that will work better with your chosen subject. Thanks for a great video

Adding dots then drawing largest item first before filling in with details was my favorite tip. Thank you. I am just starting to get into urban drawing. These tips are helpful.

This is the best explanation of perspective I have ever heard or read. Thank you. What has helped me the most IS how to determine perspective when I'm looking at something. AND what/where is the horizon line. I also like your tip about starting with one small building. I was trying to draw all the things I saw UNTIL I ran out of room on my page. That was rather overwhelming!
  • Breaking down the larger shapes really helps me, otherwise I find it overwhelming. Thanks as always for your great tutorials

I really appreciate the advice on line drawing. I spend way to much time trying to draw straight, perfect lines. I will try to loosen my grip and embrace imperfection. Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to record this great video to teach us!

The part on perspective -- 1-point perspective and 2-point perspective was extremely helpful, as well as limiting detail.

I love that you always explain with diagrams, so it's easy to understand!

I don't think I've ever seen an explanation of perspective that I understood as well as yours. Thank you!

fitting your building onto the paper, was very helpful. I have often run out of page. You were very clear on the perspective too. Thank you.
  • Thankyou so much for the video... I was getting very overwhelmed about how to get started urban sketching and this video actually helped me to get started and gave me an idea to manage my expectations.. The idea of pointing some main proportions was most helpful.😍
