Jewish Convert//Convert to Judaism/Conversion/How to Convert/Conversion Process

In this video, I am sharing the story of how I left Christianity/the Church and became a convert to Orthodox Judaism. This journey spanned several years, and wasn't always smooth, but I can say it was one of the most fulfilling things I ever did, and I have no regrets. :)

  • One of my favorite liturgical lines is: “behold, my torah. Do not forsake it. It is a tree of life to those who hold fast to it.”
  • I am currently converting and I grew up a Christian as well and even worked in ministry. I never thought I'd find religion but Judaism isnt just religion, its culture; a way of being. And I like that. Then I found out my great great grandmother was jewish and it just all made sense.
  • I converted over 40 years ago it was not easy in England at that time ,the bet din had me wate 5 years till they would do the conversion. But b,h.today over 40 years later later lead a complete Jewish hasdic life in Jerusalem, with my 8 children and 13 grandchildren I thank hasem every day that I went through all the hard times to be who I am today ,thank you for your channel and may g_d continue to give much blessings in your life and nucas from your children koll tov , and gratings from Israel.

Welcome home. You actually always had a Jewish soul. Great and inspiring story about your Jewish journey
  • I found this very informative. My wife and I attended a messianic congregation for a number of years and I have to agree with your general feeling about it. Ultimately, my sense was that these people were more in love with converting Jews than loving the Jews themselves. I also feel that there is a space in this question of conversion that is generally overlooked which is simply that a non-Jew can enjoy the blessings of HaShem in being observant without actually becoming a Jew from a halachic position. I observe shabbat and attend a conservative shul without converting for a number of reasons mainly having to do with my age, having spent most of my life as a Christian and not wanting to cut myself off from grandchildren and other family. Ultimately, it is not about being a Christian or a Jew from a legal standpoint but one's relationship to God that matters.
  • Hi Jayelle! I also converted from evangelical Christianity to Judaism and entertain a youtube channel dedicated to the subject, in Portuguese language. Shabat Shalom
  • @gabnurse
It’s disgusting how much hate you get on here from “Christians”. But BH because he has great compassion to give us the strength to overcome the harsh words and much more! I also love Rabbi Singer !
  • Beautiful story. I think you’ve inspired me to make my own video. I have yet to begin conversion classes. I’m waiting on my application to go through so maybe in a little while, but I’m gonna start writing. Gut Shabbas to you and your husband!
  • I think you hit it on the nail when you said *What is Judaism without Torah and Mitzvot*. That's something to really think about. Thank you.
  • @Moogles1982
Welcome to our family Jayelle! I’ve always been inspired by people like you, so much so, that I myself married a convert and we have two beautiful boys together. Welcome welcome. Much love and respect!
  • I was homeschooled too! 1st-12th grades and while I regret being raised somewhat adjacent to Messianic Christianity, I don't regret my homeschool education. It gave me the critical thinking skills I needed to question Christianity and convert to Judaism!
  • Mazel Tov. Welcome aboard! So inspiring!! Keep on growing with your whole family!!!
  • As a Jew, a yeshiva boy, you reminded me what a gift I got . Thanks a lot 👐🏻
  • I would love to hear more about your conversion process. Thank you for sharing.
  • @hpyrkh3
That’s exactly why I became religious. I thought: “so many people died to stay Jewish and I’m going to complain about not being able to eat bacon.” Now, I have a lot more reason to stay religious, of course.
  • @andrealynn1664
Thank you so much for posting these videos! I'm beginning my religious journey and I am so grateful I found you❤
  • I just found you on YouTube, and I love your videos. I am finding my roots, I’m from Eastern Europe. Thank you and I’m looking forward to watching them all and following you! 💕
  • Thank you so much for sharing! As an Orthodox girl it really gave me Chizuk! Loved the skit🤭👍
