The Bible Explains WAY More About Race and Racism Than People Realize...

Published 2024-02-23
In this presentation, Calvin Smith, the Executive Director of Answers in Genesis–Canada, looks to the Bible to answer many key questions about race and racism, such as how many races are there? Where did Cain get his wife? What about different people groups that we see? And much more. He also exposes a dark reality: the false belief of Darwinian evolution is largely responsible for fueling modern systemic racism.

To be honest, I hated school. I always felt very confused and stupid and behind. I know where it began. It began in early elementary school when the science text first showed me the 'monkey to human' chart. I had a picture Bible growing up. I fully believed in God. I believed what the Bible said about Creation. I felt trapped. I knew my mom wouldn't lie to me. And I 'knew' my teacher wouldn't lie to me. So, WHY CAN'T MY HEAD WRAP AROUND THIS? I grew up very shy about expressing any intellectual ideas of my own. I even graduated high-school with zero self-confidence. It took me many years to realize I wasn't the stupid one.
  • "Sinful mankind latches onto bad ideas to justify their sinful behavior." Plain and simple and BIBLICAL!

the bible never divided humans through race but through their beliefs. It was always divided between god fearing followers or people who didnt follow god (the phillistines, canaanites, egyptians, etc in the old testiment and pharisees, judeans, samarians, etc in the new testaments) even then there were always examples of people from those groups that showed faith. In the end, god gave salvation to all through jesus christ

This video is GOLD and should be taught in schools all over the world-- "There's only one race--- The HUMAN RACE. "

As a white guy, my best friend in kindergarten was black. One day, my mom told me not to let anyone make me feel bad for having a black friend. I thought that was the weirdest, most unexpected and irrelevant thing anyone could have said. I find it incomprehensible why such a thing is so blown up. What planet are people on?

The term "hidden in plain sight" often has negative connotations; but the enemy of man has hidden the obviousness of the truths in the Bible, from the eyes of the average man 😢
  • I have always had a problem with people wanting to show what Christ looked like, he looked like a Jew of that era. Dark hair, dark eyes and swarthy skin! A person is defined by their character, not by their appearance. Racism is a taught notion. We are not born racist, we learn it from society.

I grew up knowing that there was 1 race, the human race, and there were different ethnicities and nationalities. I'm not sure at what point the world turned upside down
  • @robertg9444
Unfortunately there are many of those that think race or skin color defines them and drives racism. Problem with that is race or skin color do not define your character.

Excellent point, if you want to find “systemic” racism, look no further than theory of evolution.
  • @jbrinzable
My mum always said I was the same. It was at school where I was made to feel different. The feelings take a lifetime to get past living in a society that perpetuates that idea.
  • Ethnicityism is alive and well. So crazy how people sailed up to a shore, decided the people there weren’t making the most of their own land and that they were less than human and as a result problems have occurred ever sense with respect to the notion of “race”. I like this video and it’s attempt to erase “racism” but while making the word that describes it obsolete we should make sure that we focus on making the practice identifiable and universally unacceptable. Part of that is understanding how our past treatment of one another has shaped our present and what we can do to avoid repeating those events and practices.
  • @USMC242
Your ethnicity is not your race nor is your culture your race. If your human, that's your race. I naturally knew this at 5 years old
  • @whatgiveslola
On applications where you have to check a box next to your race. I always checked the "other" box, then write, "Human Race."
  • To be honest, 38 years ago while I was in college (the sciences), I was perplexed with how I could continue to study science and maintain my faith. After much thought, the answer was clear and simple: Put God first. If I know God exists, and I do, then everything else will support that one fact, in his own due time. I have yet to find anything in science which conflicts with my faith that I must accept to do both my job, schooling, and duties as a son of God. How I demonstrate I am a son of God to prove I am such is far more important than how I prove I am a scientist by demonstrating I am the latter.

This presentation is likely the best I’ve analysis I’ve heard biblically or scientifically. It’s a real Mike drop!!! So clear and practically indisputable. !!!
  • People don't see other races, they see people from other ethnicities It's so refreshing to hear someone who has some sense and understands that there's ONLY ONE RACE OF PEOPLE.

As an atheist, I just wanted to compliment your argument as informative and merciful. I dont completely agree with all of it, but youre starting with a foundation of love. I wish i had a pastor like you.
  • I just started watching your videos and everything is explained much clearly now. I know i had questions before but i never truly wanted to question God because i felt it was wrong. But now i see that he has sent me these vids through my fyp to answer the questions that ive had for a while. I know I probably shouldve trusted the bible, but i also know i was confused as to why scientist would say one thing and other pastors would say something different. Nothing ever added up. But THIS ....this explained EVERYTHING to me and im very much thankful for a better insight on what the bible teaches and that you have actually explained it SOO well. I love God so much and am so thankful. It has helped brighten my faith because i was questioning everything and honestly felt a bit torn....thank you so much and i thank God for everything he does for me and hope to see that he helps put faith in others around me🙏🏾😌
