I also have the ancient falmer crown without using console commands, but I did some research and I found why. I'm using the unofficial skyrim patch which adds the crown direcly to Vyrthur, so it can be looted. So the people claiming it to have gotten it without using console commands likely use the unofficial patch.

Just a friendly little note here: There's a bug where if you pickpocket Astrid's (Dark Brotherhood) Blade of woe, you'll get one. But she also gives you one once you fully complete the dark brotherhood quests. the pair of daggers is a deadly combo.

In the old Skyrim, when you kill the torturer in Helgen he had a hood, but you could never get it. Now in Skyrim SE you can get it and it's called "Torturer's Hood" with a base armor rating of 15, one more than a leather helmet. A great starter piece of armor

I actually did acquire the Falmer crown, but I use the unofficial patch. I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but if it does, I think it's stupid that Bethesda would forget to include it with the rest of the set.

You forgot the Stormcloak officer set it's a Stormcloak unique set only worn by Stormcloak officers.

you dont have to kill anyone to get the vampire royal armor, its just lying around somewhere in the un-inhabitated area of that vampire castle (whatever its called)

I like to think of Krosis’s mask as “The Hunter’s Mask” and Volsung as “The Merchant’s Mask”.

Those “shit” predator boots actually have a cool and hidden purpose, same as vegetable stew. That 1% stamina regeneration is all you need for an incredible loophole. The game allows you to power strike or shield bash so long as you’re regenerating stamina, even if it’s only 1pt. Normally your stamina pauses before regeneration each time it hits zero… it leaves a sizeable pause before regeneration and resets the pause each time you attempt a power/bash move, potentially leaving you vulnerable. With those boots, that 1% makes all the difference in combat by allowing unlimited shield bash and power attacks! Try it for yourself, go make some vegetable stew that regenerates 1 stamina for a few minutes and just bash away! With Targe of the Blooded you’re basically unstoppable! Unlimited bashing and making everyone and everything around you gush blood until they die in a pool of their own filth! You never have to stop smashing them into ground beef! All because of those “shit” boots… ;D Hope this helps someone, it’s a very useful trick for 2H and S&S type players.
