Serena Williams Upset Over Being Denied Access To Paris Restaurant w/ Her Kids

Published 2024-08-06
Serena Williams has criticized a hotel in Paris after being turned away and denied a table. Williams took to X Monday, Aug. 6, to share the experience. “I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first,” wrote the retired tennis player alongside a picture of the hotel. The Peninsula responded, “Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight. Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked.”

It’s good that her daughter was there to see that even if you’re famous the answer can be “NO”.

Too friggin bad. Make a reservation to guarantee a seat like every one else in the world has to do.
  • She expected to just walk in and have them kick out a random family who took the time to book the experience?

COME ON SERENA, STOP RUSHING TO CONCLUSION. THE PLACE WAS BOOKED, EVERYTHING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE RACIAL.

I'm glad to see that some places don't put up with American's entitlement.

Come on Serena. The reservations were fully booked. Don’t be a privileged wealthy person.

The restaurant charges 200 euros per person, just to make a reservation. If you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of your designated time, they keep your deposit. So for those saying they should have just given Serena someone else’s table, that is ridiculous. Also, it shows how busy this restaurant is that they can charge that much just for a reservation.

Omg!!!! it’s the end of world when a rich person can’t get what they want!!!! And have to post it on the internet…..

Who does she think she is. It doesn't matter how famous you are in Paris - she doesn't think she needs a reservation!😮

The replies from people that realised her arrogance has given me faith in humanity.

She should start acting like the true Christian she presumes to be. Fake a little humility until you make it.

Heard that she wanted to enter prior to opening hours and if that’s not the case then she was trying to access a restaurant that was fully booked . Either way it sounds like she’s mad because she didn’t receive “special “ priority and was acting ENTITLED.

Why does everyone get so offended and feel so entitled these days! The restaurant was booked! If there was no way to fit her and her family in, it’s not the restaurants fault! she should have made a reservation much earlier! Now she’s in an uproar and is trying to ruin the reputation of the establishment?! Time to act like a classy woman and grow up!
  • Why does this sound completely like a famous person throwing her entitlement around. Shes NO better than anyone else

Money doesn't always bring POWER, ENTITLEMENT, famous names thinks everything n everyone owes them and just drop everything for ME kinda attitude..😊
  • I really love this hotel, anyone from Paris to take me there, those hotel Managers n stuff really deserve a hand of applause in person 😂😂
