Lukak is a threatened species of fruit from the same genus as durian. It may look similar but has a very interesting and different flavor.

I really like that you take that moment to really analyze flavor. waiting until it has been chewed and swallowed. The anticipation kills me haha but its so worth it. Most people spew bullshit the second food hits their mouth (think of a rad frosted tipped hedgehog haired gentleman) which makes it hard for me to watch those facetious reviews/shows.
  • Yay! You found a durian you like! Now, try another Thai monthong (mild taste), and see if you like it more! They say people do like it more and more each time, right? I feel it’s your duty, oh, weird fruit-ed one! 👊🏼

We cut into a frozen durian and it was really ok. Even enjoyable. Tastes like white pepper and cheese. Ish. I love your channel.

Looks amazing. Living the dream. Fruit is my favorite things in the world.

First love the channel I had many rare fruits myself. I have to say though I have a strange immunity to the durian smell. To me a durian smells like fresh lumber. It has a brief onion smell when first opened. That depletes rather quickly. I even tried to dry out the shell to keep it and thats when people I know told me it smelled, but I walked up to the 'stinky' black durian shell and it still smelled like lumber to me. I guess it doesn't effect everyone the same way. I love the taste and texture even the slight stringy feel it sometimes has. There is also just a mild onion aftertaste but its interesting rather than bad. Your channel is great I use it to show friends fruits I have had. Please keep up the wonderful work.
  • I want to try that! Glad to see that there is a good type of durian out there! Can't wait to see more!
  • Dammit, now I cannot rest until I find seeds or a plant for lukak. Thanks for showing this fruit to a new audience!

This seems like a much better fruit for the export market. A much less intimidating size and a more colourful appearance

in east borneo, we called this "Lai/Buah Lai" not durian

I probably love durian because I've grown up with it. My parents would always buy the frozen ones and kept telling me it was pineapple ice cream. Which I believed for the longest time, but every time I ate it i would be like "this doesn't taste like pineapple at all!"

Aw man, I like your old video introductions, the one with the 90's elevator music. Can you make a video of fruits you want to taste? 👍👍👍
  • @eyla0824
Have you tried the durian that they say taste and smells like peanut butter? They say it’s hard to find but does not have that durian smell.
  • @SereVie
I'm here to watch you eat. Lol
