Today weā€™re going to talk about the best remedies for candida.

A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways.

Itā€™s not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth.

If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check.

If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics.

The best candida home remedies:
1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods
2. Avoid sugar and dairy
3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy KetoĀ®)
4. Avoid sugar alcohols
5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil)
6. Consume vegetable fiber
7. Consume natural herbal antibiotics (garlic, oregano oil, thyme, sage, or turmeric)

  • My daughter had candida in her mouth at age 13. Her tongue was white. I tried prescription drugs and they did nothing. Then at work one day (I was a nurse) we got these mouth wipes for patients with tube feeds. I knew just then I was shown the cure for my daughter's candida. I stopped on the way home and bought benzoyl peroxide for $1.oo and told her every morning and every evening mix the peroxide with about 5 or 6 times the amount of water and rinse for 30 seconds and spit out. Candida gone in a couple days and at age 32 it has never returned for her. 1 part peroxide to 5 parts water.
  • Because of you ,some people can fix their health problem without going to the docter and educated people to understand and control their health. Huge Thank you dr Berg

Not only do I admire Dr Berg for his medical knowledge and his straight-forward way of explaining the subject matter, I really appreciate the way he never scaremongers: the most heā€™ll say is ā€œyou might have big problemsā€ rather than worrying people like some ā€˜expertsā€™ do. Very much appreciated.

Recently someone close to me had a stomach issue and was placed on strong antibiotics which then led to the destruction of her good bacteria. Now she was placed on another antibiotic to fix that. I told her to fix her gut and not take more antibiotics, but she didnā€™t listen. Thank you Dr Berg for your ongoing efforts to educate us all. šŸ™šŸ½ā¤ļø
  • This information would have been a blessing to me during the age of 15-30 years old. I suffered from recurring yeast infections and my OBGYN kept prescribing antibiotics/medication. I finally was able to rid of it myself by eliminating junk food, bread , sodas, juices and candy. 15 year problem was resolved in 6 months - 9 months.
  • I first got a bad candida infection after a 2 weeks course of antibiotics. Literally overnight I started getting hundreds of small, white, sticky lumps all over my face, neck shoulders and upper back. I had also become intolerant to dairy products. That was 25 years ago. I eventually cut out all diary produce and greatly reduced my sugar intake. That was after seeking help and being put on a strict diet for several weeks to starve and kill the candida. I think back to when I raised the initial issue with my Dr and how he was adamant that the antibiotics weren't to blame. I knew he was wrong. It took me years of struggle with the infection and trying to research the condition in the attempt to find a solution. I still get very small flare ups from time to time but I think I now need to try and get rid of the issue for good. So thanks for the advice. I will introduce probiotics to my diet and will greatly reduce my carbs and sugar intake once again.
  • One thing you're very talented at, Dr. Berg, is giving the viewer a strong sense of connection. It feels like you're actually talking to us directly

I suffered from candida in my throat for months and months. When I switched to the carnivore diet and began taking Nystatin the problem resolved itself in a few days. One of the worst parts was going to the doctor. My GP didn't know why I had a persistent sore throat so she prescribed me antibiotics which immediately made things much worse. I then visited an ENT four times over the course of several months and was dismissed each time as apparently being asymptomatic despite the intense burning sensation in my esophagus. They were treating me as if I was getting tonsil stones (likely due to inflammation from the candida) because of poor hygiene and that the pain I was feeling in my throat was from said tonsil stones. So incredibly insulting. All they did was tell me to gargle with mouthwash. Finally after I realized that they had a camera they could use to look in my throat, I insisted that they use it. That is when they figured out I had a candida infection. The ineptitude of those ladies was/is mind blowing. I spent so much money too. Peak ENT Center Golden Colorado
  • Super important video. Candida is rampant and insidious. It causes so many different health challenges. I am currently dealing with it after years of antibiotic treatment and am conivnced that it is responsible for my sinus, breathing, ear, and immune issues. Thnaks so much for addressing this topic.

I know I am not alone in having been prescribed antibiotics (over many years) but NEVER told about GUT FLORA/HEALTH. At this point I am amazed I survived the decades of untreated candida I suffered with. Dr. Berg is a TRAILBLAZER and educating MILLIONS around the world on a path to healthier living! šŸ„°

I also think having healthy teeth hygiene habitsā€”alongside diet changes you mentionedā€” helps with the control of Candida. Chewing Xylitol gum, always flossing, using a tongue scraper, and weirdly enough using 1 teaspoon of erythritol (or xylitol) as a ā€˜dissolving mouthwashā€™ after flossing (but before tooth brushing) helped me a lot.

Dr. Berg, good . I am trying to continue to healthy. Iā€™ve been experiencing yeast infections and thrush symptoms on my tongue from antibiotics. I also had a DKA two years ago almost to the date and was in a diabetic coma for 3 days. Stayed in the hospital for a week. I started watching and learning about how to prevent issues and started a keto lifestyle. My blood sugar was 1,524 upon entering the hospital and I am very grateful to be alive today. I took your advice and ordered the products to regulate my blood sugar levels and my A1C was 10.2 February 12, 2021 and as of today it is 5.8! I donā€™t eat food the first 4 hours of waking up every morning and I switched to coconut sugar and I eat 1 meal or two meals a day. Low sugar intake and protein and low carbs. Iā€™ve lost weight but Iā€™m experiencing low blood sugar and low blood pressure episodes so doctors say to never do keto and I need more carbs and I need to eat more food. I was put on insulin during the crisis but now Iā€™m on no insulin just diet and exercise. I wish I could get doctors to understand that if I hadnā€™t started the process from watching your videos I probably would be still on insulin and doing much worse. Iā€™ve trained myself this way and now they are telling me that I should eat first thing in the morning and add more carbs and eat stuff I swore out of my diet. I know that Iā€™m insulin free because of what you are teaching your followers and Iā€™m forever grateful for your service to all.

Garlic and turmeric both have antifungal properties that naturally inhibit candida overgrowth. The best candida fighter in the kitchen, however, is coconut oil. Its medium-chain fatty acids combat candida in the gut, killing it within 30 minutes of exposure.
  • Dr Berg I love that you've almost got 10M subscribers! You are helping so many people and I hope that you will get your own mainstream TV show ! Many, many thanks from Canada šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

1 thing was missing: dilute 2 or 3 drops of antifungal essential oils such as clove, cinnamon, oregano and thyme in coconut oil and take 2x a day. Mixed oils gain even greater potency. If possible talk about this subject also in a future video.
  • Here's one for coconut products, though I don't know if it's related to candida in any way. I once had a wart that I couldn't get rid of no matter what; burn it, freeze it, everything from liquid nitrogen to garlic, for over a year. I had come to the conclusion that I was stuck with it, I couldn't really afford to go back to the doctor and ask them to be more liberal with the liquid nitrogen. Then one day I started drinking coconut milk, not because I thought it would help, but just because I thought it was tasty; that wart dried up and fell off within a matter of days.

I was on nystatin in my 30ā€™s for Candida. Did all the right diet, and went through a short period of mild spaciness, due to the Candida die-off. Ate rare foods, took caprylic acid, took a product called ā€˜yeast fighterā€™, garlic, organic veg juicing, lots of garlic, etc. Got better over a couple months, but had to continue. Took a while because of horrendous past overgrowth. My GP was knowledgeable about Candida treatment. Thatā€¦.I am so grateful for. Now in my 60ā€™s I am grateful anew for Dr. Bergā€™s video on this. I will get back on much of this stuff. Ahna. Atlanta Georgia
