Human rights groups say the Chinese are committing horrific crimes against Uighurs.
The UN has raised the alarm. The US and Canada have called it genocide.
But China has repeatedly denied the accusations.
So what do we know? And should the world be doing more?

Why should I watch this on Al Jazeera, it's exactly the same as BBC and CNN
  • @R4x0
ASPI??? Are you kidding me? You might as well cite Mike Pompeo. It's obvious who funds HRW too.

Was curious what Uyghur people looks like and where it's located because Dilraba is so beautiful. For me she's the most beautiful person in China.

Cruelty, torture, terrorism all ends in failure. Humans can only be handled with love ,justice ,care and respect.

Bruh, what wrong with the translation. I am Chinese from Singapore. The word they speak doesn't match the translation. I can understand the Mandarin

In Xinjiang, Uighurs are not the only muslim minorities. There is another large muslim group called Hui. How come we never hear anything from them??
  • @Ruby-iz6el
Aren't you ashamed of all this nonsense?
  • @naush777
Astonishing how she uses the word allegations so casually!!!
  • @zroger6036
They start with a rumor that you have committed a crime, then ask you to prove that you have not committed a crime, then ignore any evidence you present and make only one demand: that if you want the charges dropped, then you must meet their demands and interests.
  • What American did and still doing in Iraq, Afghanistan,Syria, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia etc killed millions of innocent people shouldn't sanctions passed on it too?

Can you show us the warrants for the Guantanamo Bay detainees, please? And of course, also for the Uyghurs who were detained there. Also, the English language can be so confusing sometimes: why is waterboarding Uyghurs at Guantanamo called fighting terrorism and re-educating Uyghurs in Xinjiang called genocide? In which western museums are the weapons of mass destruction that were found in Iraq on display? And by the way, have your reporters been to Xinjiang itself and can you tell me if it's just like most decent places on earth - with some good and some bad things happening? I'm learning so much from western mainstream media; I don't know why I bother to think at all.

2:32 the back of the firefighter suit says kunming of yunnan province. apparently it's to show past terrorist attack in kunming.
  • @felixscorpian
At 2:33, uniform says “云南消防” which mean Yunnan fire department Yunnan is a province thousands of kilometres away from xinjiang in southwest China. This show has no credibility for sure.
  • @see_less_haze
No one is talking about this because they're too busy making tik toks and arguing with each other instead of working together to help others.
  • @leungpaul9401
One fact must state, 1 child policy was only applied to Han, not minority
  • @xuhan1981v
2:47 "In 2009 there are riots and fights between Uighurs and Han Chinese, and 200 people died". It is not "riots and fights", it is not fight between Uighurs and Han, it is terrorism. Terrorists are attaching innocent people, regardless their ethnic.

to understand the policy on security measure in xinjiang, you have to look into the history in the past decades. hundereds brutally murdered, they have names, location, date&time, photos on record. and still described as "occasionally violent events by small groups...".
