    I remember playing the the new enclave quest and I found 1 Tesla cannon in the crates on the top of the building and in a crate at one of the camps while also getting 2 others from the quests.

    you can open up the pip boy before the screen loads in allowing you to heal and load all the way before things hit you (maybe I think that's how it works)
