Isn’t it funny? The year that Into the Spider-Verse came out, the year that Marvel’s Spider-Man hit the Playstation 4, the year that everyone says was the best year for Spider-Man, Stan Lee’s favourite Marvel hero... Was the same year Stan passed away. It’s poetic, in a way.

I want to be one more than anything. I want to, one day, look back on my childhood and say, “That is where I came from,” and then come back to the present and be proud of who I am. The woman I became, and who I’m going to become. ...I don’t know what life holds for me- the cards are all hidden. But I know I’m gonna do something great. I have to. Because if I don’t, how could I be proud of my name? How could I hold my head up high and know that, I’m not scared anymore.
