First Time Hearing FREE! "All Right Now" Vocal Analysis on the back of Bad Company's "Bad Company"

Published 2024-06-28
Hearing Bad Company's Paul Rodgers for the first time really opened up my eyes, and I had to dig into more of his catalogue. And what better way than to start with Free?! I went with a live version simply because the last was just an album cover. Let's get to it!!!

Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Free for the first time, performing "All Right Now”.

Free at last, Free at last, thank God almighty Elizabeth is playing Free at last. 🤔
  • @Cadinho93
The cool thing about this band is that when they recorded this, they were all under age 20. When Free formed, Andy Frazier (bass) was 15 years old. Paul Kossoff (guitarist) was 18, Paul Rodgers (singer) and Simone Kirke (drummer) were 19. Also, Paul Rodgers is one of the best voices in rock history.
  • This is a real classic rock band. Paul Rodgers is one of the great rock vocalists. They performed at the Isle Of Wight festival back in 1970.😊
  • @RZK1966
Paul Kossoff is the perfect rock guitarist, pure and raw. R.I.P.
  • @chiefsocal
I saw Paul Rodgers when he was fronting Queen. It is worth the listen as Freddie was once asked who could replace you in Queen and he said Paul Rodgers.
  • @abergreg
Paul Kossoff's phrasing and feel are still amazing 55 years on. Still one of the very best, still and always will be. "Fire and Water, Wishing Well, Mr Big and so on, all pearls.
  • @Melissa_RS
Paul Rodgers is one of my fave vocalists, i can't wait!
  • "Is that Freedom Rock, man?" "Yeah, man." 'Well TURN IT UP!"
  • @Swine-O-Sonic
Remember half the band weren't old enough to sign a contract when they recorded this
  • This has got to be one of the top rock songs of all time! A true classic!
  • @rootbox
The texture of Rodgers voice blends so perfectly with the sparse instrumentation in Free as well as Bad Co.

Your vocal analysis videos have made my singing better. I've been singing a long time, but I never knew the real mechanics of what I was doing, and still don't fully, I just knew I needed to make my voice perform a certain way to make a particular sound. Having even that little bit of insight that I've gleaned from your videos has made me cognizant of what I'm doing and why. All that to say, thank you. I really enjoy these!
  • Andy Fraziers Bass playing is sooo underrated in the music world. Always loved it!
  • I was 13 when this was released such a catchy tune and I was instantly hooked on Paul’s voice.

I can't wait for Elizabeth to hear him now, his voice is just as amazing as it ever was. His stuff from 2023 wow, he's in his early 70s but he sounds like the 1970s
