I imagine there's bugs loose in the bug wing of the museum because Blathers spends as little time as possible in there so he never notices they've escaped. Any time he has to add a new bug I see him like SpongeBob taking out the trash at night: Screaming the entire time he runs up to the exhibit, chucking the bug inside, and screaming all the way back to the door.

Pretty sure that mysterious creature is a centipede. They are often found at the highest and lowest places on the walls of homes since that’s where their food (usually spiders) is found. They are skilled predators that eat other bugs, so I’m sure Blathers wouldn’t mind one bug loose if it meant the death of many others. 😂

What's referenced as a "tip jar" in the Nookling's shop could also be the plate used to give cash to a cashier. It's a Japanese custom.

The fighting beetles is also a reference to what kids would do in Japan. A childhood past time for little boys is to catch beetles (since the ones in Japan are huge) and you'd put them in front of each other to fight. That's why you catch them with nets and have them in those distinct mini tanks in game! Also centipedes are super common to find in Japanese houses out in the countryside, and they hide up on the top by the ceiling! For that "tip jar" - its not a tip jar. That's a reference to mini marts in Japan where you put your yen or credit card in. For some reason, that's how you pass money from customer to clerk.

The museum is filled with little extras for fans of biology, history, and art. Just yesterday I had my monkey villager in the fossil exhibit and you can see the evolution tree and we both were standing in just the right spot. ❤️
  • I find it weird that the camper never leaves their tent(I haven't see them on my island anyway). I think it would be a hoot of they were out exploring my island.

A very interesting detail of Sable is she was very very little when their parents died. It was inferred she was maybe 2 or so, an infant. If I remember my dialogues, I can guesstimate Mable was 19, Label was 17. This that puts a huge gap between Sable and her sisters, and not only ads more context to their dynamic but a framework as to how much they struggled.

Isabell is actually an experienced gardener! I believe she reads a book about flowers and notice how she’s growing a HYBRID flower which is “difficult” in animal crossing depending on what flower. So technically she’s got a good green thumb!! ❤

@6:30 the sign for the horseshoe crabs is also hinting at the fact that they have blue blood with the blue filled syringe. It's used in medical fields for detecting bacterial toxins ☝🏼

In the winter, they should have had their shops inside their campers because of the cold. It’d be the same when it rains too. That’d be neat, and more realistic.
  • 8:25 actually, Sable does leave! I don't remember when it happened, but I met with her at the Rooster once. It was either really early in the morning, or pretty late in the night..

the acnh museum really does remind me of a few childrens museums i'd been to as a kid. big glowy plastic asteroids, earth's crust over billions or years, tiny glass cloches of weird extinct plants. it's such a chill and happy vibe
  • @annettealforova
Actually sometimes you can catch Sable in the Roost if you knew or not
  • My girlfriend asked if I could hunt in animal crossing… I looked at her horrified 😂😂😂

5:18 I know this is an older video but I want to confirm that the bug is supposed to be there, in fact, in the newer updates, the centipede is moved to the top of the cupboards above the flies so you can see it a bit better, and it and the moth on the sheet only come out at night since they are nocturnal animals, i just thought that was a nice little touch

Horseshoe crabs don't sting anything with their tails. It's just elongated part of their exoskeleton that helps them stabilize themselves.
  • If you have a full inventory and sell one item slot for over 100,000 bells, you won't have enough item space to store your bells, so he says: Thank you very much! Your wallet and pockets are full, so I'll just wire the payment to your account. This can be done by selling the throne, as profit margins are 300%, and the throne is 800,000, meaning it sells for 200,000, or with gold, which is 10,000 each, but stacks in 30s.
  • @noreenwagner8862
Horseshoe crabs do not have stingers. It's it tail. Thanks for all this new information. I'm looking forward to discovering it all.
  • @e2b265
I did not really wish I knew many of these sooner, but I appreciate the urgency applied to this information.

The older games had Brewster, lol. Which, technically is a statement that still isn't wrong. Another thing to note is that Lyle does call Nook out for being a huge K.K. fanboy in New Leaf. New Horizons is just the first game to actually show rather than just tell.
