❤ seeing the family Al! This is another example of you making a difference. You got me thinking about this phone addiction. I've already been thinking about my health. Since June 30th I've changed my diet & have lost 30#. I still could lose a lot more, but my focus is how much better I feel. Thank you for SHARING your GOALS! ❤

You are doing such a great thing by putting "Family First". Yep our phones can be an addictive thing, it's great to put it aside for awhile, and when you start using it again maybe consider some time restrictions on it. You have a really beautiful family and you do such a great job being there for them❤❤❤❤❤🙏

Good for you. I felt the same way about television approx 8 years ago, because so many programmes were absolute mind numbing drivel, and gave it up to see if I would miss it. I didn't miss it at all. I read, listen to audio books, watch topics on YouTube that interest me, go to concerts with my wife, go to the odd movie, do DIY for my home/my sons home/my elderly mother-in-law, garden, play badminton with my son, etc. I'm even doing a diploma at the age of 56. There is so much more out there to do.

I'm on the fence about doing a 90 day social media cleanse. I think I spend way too much time focusing on bs that doesn't matter.

Al you are really a blessing! More of the younger generation could definitely learn from your example! God bless you, I know your going to do great! You will go all the way to 30!You have the best motivation in the world which is your beautiful family! Love to all of you!❤

We need more content creators showing good intact families as an example for others. Our culture has largely abandoned this.

I applaud you!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Since I retired I have found myself on my phone constantly and I am going to try this. Those babies are so adorable 💞 Best Wishes 🙏💖

God bless you Al for thinking about your family, as well as your mental & physical well being!!! I'm proud of you for cutting the invisible cord to your phone, even though it's going to be hard to overcome that urge to always check your phone for something. I know you can cut that invisible cord thst keeps you tied to your phone. I know that you & your family will appreciate it a lot, of you not being tied to your phone. It will give you great opportunities to make lots of fun lasting memories with your family & friends, without the connection of being tied to your phone. ❤ Al you have a beautiful family!!! Watching your interactions with your wife & kiddos made me laugh so hard, your kiddos are so adorably cute & funny!!! ❤😂 Enjoy your beautiful family!!! ❤

I'm an addict and ill admit it. I commend you for doing this. Not ready for that commitment.
  • Setting an example for us! I believe you'll discover things during this time you never thought of. You can do this! So focused when you do the makeovers on yards, use that same focus to " make over the overgrown yard of the mind. Trim, cut away. Level & plant beautiful things. ❤❤❤❤❤

Hi Al. Yes October is the "challenge month" in many circles. I shut down all my social media channels, save You Tube, I wiped my phone of every social media account, and all the apps that suck up my time. It has been a few months now, and I like it having more time for other pursuits. If you need reminders, get a sticky note pad and leave little messages where you will see them often. Good Luck. Oh, maybe mow some more lawns, that will certainly occupy phone time, won't it ??

I actually went on a social media detox for 2 weeks recently. I started getting to cranky with too many voices and stupid things posted on IG and facebook. Those are the only 2 I have and don’t want anymore. Now I feel like I need to detox from it routinely so that’s my plan.
