I've decided to stay in the abandoned city of Pripyat in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. We've repaired the abandoned flat, restored electricity, heating, and water. Yes, it wasn't easy, but we have made a decision. We are carefully exanimating Pripyat for radiation with a dosimeter.

Guys you seriosly need LED lamps. They dont generate that much heat so they dont need that much energy.

I can just imagine a documentary filming the "ruins" of Chernobyl then finding one really nicely renovated room and feeling confused!

26:30 That heater type is notorious for not lubricating the motor the bearing has Run Dry The motor will spin freely if you apply some grease to it. crappy non lubricated c-frame motors.

Imagine someone owning that flat back in the days, and recognizing it while watching the video

Renovating a flat in Chernobyl... now I have seen it all. Incredible.
I am completely blown away by the fact the buildings still have power and that this at least 35 year old TV is still working after all that happened.
  • @Zestence
Careful with the wiring guys. I've been in a house where the wiring started to smell burned and one electrcal outlet started to smoke after we switched the power back on after winter.

Not an abandoned building, just a really old house my family owns. Wiring is much older, from the 1950s....but the house has not been abandoned for 30 years.

Can you guys not get some radios and try find frequency guards are using on walkie talkies? You can know where they are if so. Also can you put some motion detector at entrance of building to alert you of entry by guards?

I love that you guys actually do something constructive, instead of messing stuff up... Great videos guys.
