My head canon is. Nicole and Mark will be reconnected again by Nicole's music.

Theory: In the ending scene, we can see maria and jake together, watching them together, or lets say, they are the reason why they end up in the same cafe with their "temporary date", just a 1 step closer to their meeting. In the cafe, it's Mark's 4th date, and we all know why it keeps failing, because he is destined to be with someone else(nicole) and we can see nicole riding alone in the back of a car, this heavily suggested that nicole is on a temporary/meetup date as well. Maria and jake being there is one of the proof, fulfilling their promises that they will meet again. They are destined to meet, but maria and jake interference, rushing their meeting making the world collapse, Since they are no longer grieving over they lost, the world will no longer collapse when they meet in the final timeline. Just glimpse of each other, finding that spark, making it their destiny to be together. The name of the cafe is "tadhana cafe" or destiny cafe, also a proof that suggest that their destiny together will happen with just a glimpse, they are destined together, additionally with the assistance of maria and jake. If it was kapalaran/fate, it would've been a different story, since fate is something that we cant control/change. They have been together for hundred of lifetimes, they are technically soulmates, they will find each other, igniting that spark, and be together again. Addition!! Remember when mark saw nicole's profile at the beginning of the game? He said that he feels like he knows her. Meaning it doesn't need to be eye to eye contact in order to be familiar with each other. In this scene, we can see nicole looking at mark, therefore it's likely that she now feels like mark is familiar Headcanon: they will fail their temporary date and they can easily bump into each other soon after. Glancing at each other, will make them familiar with each other, entagled with their fate to be together. Imagine if they remember each other completely, instead of just being familiar❤. Anways, the point is, they are destined to be together. Extra theory from someone who replied to my comment before: "I'm adding new proof to confirm your theory, The more I see this last scene and the more i'm convinced your theory is right." When Nicole arrived in the cafe, She smiled while looking at Mark like she felt that spark! (look at her eyes) it's definitely for mark as her date has not arrived yet, as you can see the "empty chair" in front of her. While waiting, she was gazing at Mark during like 7 seconds straight ! This can't be a coincidence to look at someone for this long! she clearly felt something while seeing Mark. when Mark was calling the waiter, she looked at him during 3 seconds as if mark was more interesting than her date. + she noticed Mark before the waiter. During this new date, the girl in front of mark is playing with her hair during the Whole date! with a plain look as if the date was boring and she doesn't care about him. (probably a bad date, it's possible as Mark already failed 4 date before) Conclusion: Mark date is failing + Nicole is interrested by Mark, + the cafe is named "tadhana" which mean "destiny" = so i'm convinced they will end up together afterwards, it's not a coincidence as they are soulsmate, they are destined to be together in every timeline, but in this one they had to fix the world, and themself to be reunited again. Those dates are just a scheme, to make them able to meet each other again, even though they live so far from each other ctto.

😢Mark and Nicole "Pinagtagpo pero hindi tinadhana" This is what I honestly think about the ending I Know It's an open ending you are free how you interprete the true ending just seeing that achievement "Accept, Let go" my heart just dropped

This game changed me as a person, because after I've finished playing it I ended up thinking about my high school friends and after playing this I've realized that I still love them. Yes, a lot of years have passed since then, but now just the very fact that we used to be friends means a world to me - even if some don't even remember me anymore. I ended up looking at the photos we took of each other for like an hour with happy tears in my eyes.
