“Some fringe outlets and social media accounts have been claiming that an asylum seeker who was on the MI6 watchlist was behind the stabbings.”

Police are calling for speculation to end after online groups named “a man who has no connection to the attack," says Times northern correspondent Constance Kampfner.

The police know everything and say nothing,And tell the public to stay quiet what a joke,And Starmer runs away.

If the truth wasn’t suppressed no one would need to speculate.
  • Its the killer who is damaging, stop blaming ordinary people, outraged and disgusted at what these so called politicians have allowed and actively encouraged.

Damaging rumours vs murdering 3 young girls. Lets get real what matters P.C B.S or law and order? Tell the truth!

Like anyone is going to take notice of the Police. When a crime this bad is committed the public need answers. Who cares how old the guy is, name him

This outlet has some nerve putting out this story - considering the irresponsible speculation it engaged in, regarding the Manchester Airport incident. Glass houses?

They tried to hide the fact he is black, everyone knew already, now his name is out there and it’s not a Welsh name

Everyone ‘this is the last straw’ing - nice try but no. I’m British and moved to Brazil 3 years ago, If half the things happened here which have happened back home in the last 10 years, there would be blood in the streets. The majority British public are pathetic, this story will go away soon enough when people have been thrown some red meat in the form of a Harry & Meghan story, or some other airheaded nonsense. That’s why the UK has never risen up historically, because any intelligence and sense of fighting for what’s right has successfully been bred out. A shame, we could have been such an amazing country post 1980’s.
  • Excellent shoe-horning of the "far-right" into the narrative!!!!!!

If they want an end to the speculation, maybe they need to speak the truth and stop working to cover it up, shameful.
