"Someday" was a precursor to Esmeralda's song, "God Help the Outcasts." It was discarded during storyboarding because they wanted a softer song for the scene.

Amazing job! They actually re-worked this song into the recent American stage musical version that performed in San Diego and New Jersey. Its now a duet between Esmeralda and Phoebus, when they're in their jail cell before her execution. It works rather well!
