Friends, it’s been QUITE a while since we’ve talked about ANYTHING Deltarune or Undertale related. However I couldn’t let my time as host of this channel end without talking about this game again. There’s unfinished business here to be solved and diving back into it i remember just how AWESOME these games really are. Let’s see if we can’t solve this thing before my time runs out!

  • Matpat's retirement is really making these theories WILD
  • @smashprosj
Seeing MatPat’s last Undertale/Deltarune Theory… It fills you with DETERMINATION.
  • @joninhasq
Really fun fact: In chapter 1 and chapter 2, on noelle's father hospital room, there is a little angel made by noelle and dess, and when you interact with it, it says "The lack of facial features is unsetling", i speculate that it had to do with the vessel (who also doesn't have any facial features) and was created by the PLAYER, once again creating a connection to the player and a angel
  • @planetnydro
Its worth mentioning that Father Alvin mentions the angel "watches from above" when its a top-down rpg
  • @navs123
Matpat realized that his retirement videos can be as unhinged as he wants
  • @gofrisuto
What I love about Deltarune's story and this video is that it isn't focused on lore implications, but the message. More 4th wall breaking games need to realize that shocking the player that "this is a game in a game in a game..." isn't enough for a story. It can be a really creative and versatile tool for more interesting stories, but it won't have weight. Yes, the implementation is usually really interesting, but a message is an integral part to stories.
  • @PurelyKayden
Thank you Mr. Pat for the final closure on Ness' relation to sans
  • @ydrib6086
therapist: matpat spamton isn't real, he can't hurt you matpat spamton:
  • 1:11 "Sans and Papyrus are Ness" Add that to "Sans + Papyrus = Gaster" and, by the transitive property of equality, we get "Gaster = Ness".
  • Wouldn't it be cool that our personally created vessels take shape in the game? And then Kris and his friends would fight us, with the vessel acting as a shield over our soul. I've thought about this ever since I completed chapter 1...
  • MatPat returning to Deltarune after a 5 year gap feels like the best gift for the fans. This man definitely deserves every singe respect for everything he has done.
  • @AndroidHarris
I think susie is the key. Everyone else is susceptible to the players commands but susie is the only one that can refuse the player through rebellion so her role may be as important as noelle who is the lost lamb. Noelle is most susceptible and susie is the least making her the breaking point for us.
  • DELTARUNE THEORYYY!!!!! like you don't know how happy i was this was one of Matpat's last theories. i was literally begging the universe for him to make one before he announced his retirement
  • Sans Is Ness was actually the first episode of Game Theory that I ever watched, and the one that got me into watching the channel. Looking forward to the future ahead.
  • @YaBoiTem
3:20 close, but everyone knows Kris was just trying to get their emergency pie out of the basement and accidentally hit the gas line
  • One detail about the snow grave route: Birdly is really dead. After awaking in the light world, not only does Birdly just seem cold and lifeless, when you investigate the library's side room, it's told us the player it's somewhat the perfect hidding spot for Birdly 's body.
  • @Shrooblord
I've consumed and made so many theories about this game. It's fun seeing pieces from all our minds rearranged into this idea -- basically like what DELTARUNE itself is to UNDERTALE. Great stuff, Matt! Curious to see how it all pans out when all the chapters are released.
  • This has to be one of my favourite "Matpat Final Theories" His theories on undertale/deltarune were so infamous that it was overdue to finally complete some unfinished buisness my enjoyment of this was also amplified considering i was hoping there would be a 2nd deltarune theory
