I love all these reactions, but none of them, not one, comes close to how freakin awesome it was to see this for the first time, in a theater, Dolby all around you, and having no idea this scene was coming. One thing you'll notice is that most of the reactors know the line, know the meme, and they expect it. Too bad for them, it was like your first kiss, you never forget. Well, actually, I've forgetten the kiss.

Don't forget to check out the reactors, they appreciate the views and likes and when you leave comments.

This is also fairly historically accurate. When the Persians came demanding earth and water Leonidas had them thrown into a well and told them to get it themselves.
  • And thus, they have witnessed the origin of one of the internet's most well-known memes

That scene is the best, the second is when Xerxes asked Leonidas to kneel "I would but my knees are too sore from killing all those Persians" Awesome movie!

Spartan women were also usually the richest in the country because when their husbands died in battle they usually inherited the lands legally and some women would remarry and rinse repeat.

Notice even a spartan king looks to his queen for approval to kick him down the pit that badass
  • The behind the scenes were wild. The trainers came up with this hardcore workout routine called the 300.The stunt guys were mostly required to do it.But,only one of the actors completed it and the 300 workout is intense.
  • "Earth and Water, Persian? You'll find plenty of both at the bottom of that well"
  • When I think about this scene I also think about Meet the Spartans when the queen says "kick his shit in baby" to Leonidas.

Being fit wasnt just for the movies. It was who the spartans were. From a young age they new nothing but violence and learned the ways of war.

A weakness still to this day of any Muslim army from the Middle East is their command structure, and style they fight, as opposed or the Spartans who are all about teamwork, strategy, tactics etc, if you study the wars Israel has fought and won, this will make sense to you for example, in this movie and in the real battle the Persians were confident it’s numbers wouid win quickly, by choosing that land the Spartans forced the Persians to attack through that narrow strip of land evening the odds. How 300 did as well as they did is absolutely remarkable against so many, but it’s a battle of cultures. Think about how long it takes to train a Spartan warrior since birth? How one life is so valuable, as opposed to the other side were it’s the complete opposite, if your not in the elite ruling class, your life means little if that

I remember walking out of the theater right after watching this with my friends and kicking each other on the back while yelling this is Sparta! Lol
  • @bigsarge8795
I saw this in the theater, and the whole audience went nuts when the messenger got kicked into the pit
  • @boomer10129
Recently, my grandfather watched this and now every single room he goes into….he screams “THIS IS SPARTA”
  • @TheBennitoz
And thus, everytime a massive front kick sent someone flying, whether it was during an MMA fight or a police action it was known as...a SPARTA kick, for the rest of humanity
  • @ColemanJRimer
I believe it was Xerxes who sent a message to Sparta (in real life) saying, "If I bring my armies into your lands, I will destroy your farms, slay your people, and raze your city". Sparta (in real life) sent back a one-word response: "If." Sparta was NOT to be f'ed with. This movie takes it to another level in ways, but Spartans were the real deal.

The moment when you know that the whole thing can and will only end in violence.
  • @jonbrown3227
They weren’t just jacked for the movie they were jacked because they lived in a society of warriors and trained every day relentlessly.
