I love how they mixed in the spectators’ shots with those from the car and the helicopter. It really makes the experience unique.

The Peugeot 208 Pikes Peak car was the best tarmac rally car ever created. It was driven by the best rally driver ever created. That record-setting, still-unbeaten lap was peak motorsport. I don’t think things get any better than that. 2:35 - It left people literally speechless.

Many think he couldn't have won on dirt.he's 9 times WRC world champion (and not rally cross which is completely different) and many stages take place on snow, dust, mud etc... he's not only good on asphalt. he's complete. look at some videos of Loeb in monte carlo or Wales. you'll see what he can do on these surfaces

Not only did he win, but he won by over 48 seconds. Peugeot and Loeb were NOT playin'! The first time I saw the original onboard it made my hairs stand on end. This is a great edit of different views <3

Those idiots crossing 51 seconds into the race are one of the reasons we are told class b was killed. People didn't think the cars could be that fast. People should not be on the track. I love the sound of the engine.

As someone that aspires to drive race cars like this someday... and hopes to drive Pikes Peak before I die... this video almost made me cry, just beautiful all around.
