What started out as a small vid turned into a deep dive - I've done my best to assemble all of the credible info I could find from the archives and compile it into one vid with as much info on SC's behemoth capital class ships as I could!

A lot of the background in this vid was compiled with assets released by CIG. Hoping they don't mind if it helps grow the community!

---June 2022 Giveaway Rules-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to the support the community has given me I'd like to give something back, so we're doing a monthly ship giveaway. This month (June 2022) will be an Anvil Legionnaire with LTI.

- The ship is a standalone item for the game Star Citizen. It does not include a game package and you will need one to play the game. The recipient will require a Star Citizen account to claim the gift which will be sent to the winner via email.
- To enter you simply need to comment on any video from May 2022 on the channel before the competition closes at Midnight (UTC) on 31st May. You can enter multiple times by commenting on multiple videos but only one entry will be counted per video.
- A random number generator will be used to select which video the winner is drawn from, then used again to select a winner from the list of unique commenters.
- The prize is an Anvil Legionnaire - there is no guarantee that if you seek to exchange it with CIG (the games developer) for store credit that this will be equal to the list price of the ship.
- There is no alternative to the prize.
- Please note that the Anvil Legionnaire is a concept ship and as such is not currently available to use in game. Its expected release date is as yet unknown.
- Once notified you have 3 months to claim your prize. If you don't claim it it will be returned to the prize pool.

  • I want them to make the Bengal available, imagine a crew of hundreds of people or even a thousand, like a whole faction and the ship is never empty no matter at what time you connect you'll find crewmates. This would be the best gaming experience ever.
  • The pioneer is BY FAR the one I’m most excited for. Just to see how they eventually get the whole damn thing working. I want to see it spitting out bases!
  • I'd definitely agree with you about the ARGO capital refinery ship, I love their style and focus and a larger ship from them would neatly fill several existing niches.

Anvil already has a lot of things that can be used during ground assault, like the Atlas line, the Valk, the Liberator etc. What I'd love to see is that Anvil puts a crown on that style and making Anvil and Aegis more different in the sense that Aegis is more space based and aggressive and Anvil is more defensive and ground based to show that this new main military is there to protect the people and planets of the UEE. So I'd love to see a planetary assault carrier. This ship features a large cannon array that can be used from orbit to blast positions on the ground. It has capability for Valks to land on it, room for lots of troops and cargo and can land to bring the armored first of Spartans, Ballistas and Centurions to bear with along with Novas. And the crowning feature: Drop pods than can launch cargo drops or infamtry (including Titan suits) to the ground below it, sending the force inside to a location previously bombarded, landing and directly deploying. Meanwhile Valks make their way down and when the landing zone's secured the carrier itself comes down and acts as an HQ for the operation. Now this is pure insanity and just really just a fun idea for me. It isn't realistic for the game at all and would probably never show it's face. Still though, if there is an Anvil capital ship some day I'd love to see a lot of manufacturer synergy (Valk needs and update to carry an Atlas vic btw) and the stuff I mentioned before about Anvil's identity much more being that of a shield

RSI has the Pegasus and I believe it’s categorized as a light carrier. I also think it was white boxed. So there’s a possibility we’ll see it later in SQD 42 and further down the road in the PU.
  • @madtitan1946
Thanks for the nice summary. Under your definition the Odyssey would also be a capital ship with it's capital(Power Plant, Cooler and Shield Generator). I don't see it as a Capital ship however since it's more in the ship class of the Carrack.

Amazing video, wonderful pace and info. Your relaxed voice over was super easy to listen to for 42mins; subscribed
  • @Rahvel
Loved the video! Really interesting hearing your takes on the different manufacturers and where gaps lie in the available ship classes. This is the first of your videos I've seen but I will be checking out more for sure!
  • @arenlarsen
Great video Loud. Thanks for taking the time to bring these kinds of videos to us.
  • @bigleshawn
The Misc Odyssey is considered a capital ship with its three capital size components and large Radar. It will be a great ship for exploration.
  • Thank you for the video. Had stopped paying attention to a number of the capital ships, so good to get a refresher.
  • @TheK9music
I love thinking about these massive ships out in the PU, flying beside a bengal crewed by your org is going to be a really special feeling, great vid!
  • @phillip105pv
Great video, love the explanations, also I agree we need something like the Perseus but bigger and able to board the enemy with. Capital ships should be able to board each other without too much difficulty, especially since CIG has said they want more bigger ships to get "disabled" and less blowing up in major explosions.
  • @treamann9608
Carriers are the coolest ships for me so I'm just waiting for a tevarin one. Grats on 10k here's hoping they keep coming.
  • @bowb5825
I hadn't realized how many cap ships they already had lined up. Nice video
  • @dukewesson4944
Thanks for taking the time to do this, really enjoyed this one! A lot of valuable info event though CIG doesn't have all the answers we want yet. I totally agree with you on the ship lineup needing to have another carrier and a capital size refinery. You brought very valid points. Keep up the good work!
  • @clementuus
Really interesting video, thank you for the quality of your work ! This game will have so much diversity once orgs could buy whatever ship suits their needs. I imagine players creating a "city" in space just with ships where people of the org mine in the near areas and other players come there and buy the ressources they need. And after a certain time the org decides to move to another solar system and the economic changes a lot because of that mining city. I hope the things that happen in a solar system will have an impact on all the npcs in that system if the event is important enough, for example two factions fighting with a Bengal. This game has still so much to deliver to space fans.
  • @scottmurphys
Thanks you for this. As a new player I found this not only edifying, but entertaining. Please keep up the good work.

This was super great to watch with a coffee during quantum jumps this morning. Thanks for the video and keep 'em coming!
