You're not a car builder; you're a car rebuilder. Thanks, John.
-
That HF tool way better than using hand shears any day especially for that much cuttingπ
-
Great job on the floor extensions. You keep saying you're not a car builder but yet you made a template for one side that works on the other mirrored. Definitely the best "non" car builder out there!
-
You could use rounded Allen head bolts on the pan which would be a little smoother
-
Your doing brilliant work found my new favourite channel keep up the good work sending love from across the pond here in England
-
Itβs really coming together, canβt wait to see this thing with an interior in it! Sick video!
-
making great progress! 1000sp looks so rad. nice to see the process of adding in those floor pieces. rad video john!!
-
Right next to the seat, that space should be a great spot to mount fire extinguishers!
-
So cool to watch, John - can't wait to see it running down the road!
-
Don't know if anyone has suggested a riv nut tool instead of the traditional bolt and nut just saying nice work John looking good
-
Great video, as always.
-
It might keep the noise down if you welded the floor extensions from under the car too. (They do lay over the chassis rails a bit) Just a thought. great video π
-
Socket button head bolts for the pan extensions, they look sweet.

Hi John, really good work! I live next to the Atlantic ocean, so make a point of cleaning and priming all my tubing and flat plate as it comes into the shop. That way you only need to touch up where you welded or ground away the coating.
-
Gotta be able to take the body off to take off the rear wheels, right? I kid. Build looking amazing and I can't wait to see how it goes!
-
Great work on the floor extensions. I like the idea of still being able to pull the body from the pan. Man I should have jumped on an Auto Union shirt when you posted on IG. Also, my observation skills made me notice, you didnt come home with the 700 from NH π€

Greets from the netherlands. Great channel β€π

And don't forget that the Ghia pans are shorter than beetle pans.
-
I was hoping to see the pan cut and widened as opposed to filler panels for a cleaner look. Some bead rolling would have at least helped the filler panels appeal aesthetically.

You should try Heat Shield Products DB Skin for the interior
