Crazy to think how our media makes this place seem so awful, Russia is absolutely beautiful and rich with history and culture. Proud to have some Russian in me

We all should travel more. Especially to Russia. Just to get rid of the stereotypes, media& politics feed us on a daily basis.

Man, the hospitality of villagers doesn't change around the world, does it? They'll share what little they have with a total stranger who passes by. Love it.
  • I like Douglas, he have such a nice place, lots of vegetables and fruits. And he must be very tenderhearted, because he used to keep rabbits but not having a heart to Kill them for meat. Nice video. I had nice time touring Russian villages with you. God bless Russia, and God bless those villagers may they prospers in days to come. God bless you sir.

Douglas Borisovich is a very nice person. Douglas reminds me of my father, Thomas Tobin. Thomas worked in a produce(fruits and vegetables) warehouse in Spokane, Washington, USA.

I was born in Chicago, when was in school my family visited my Aunt in a rural town in Minnesota in summer. I finished school I began to explore the world. I first moved to Texas. There was so much open land. Visiting Mexico was very easy no passports. Same with going to Canada. When I was 50 years old my wife and I became farmers. We visit family near Chicago but only for short visits. I am an Amateur Radio Operator and traveled to Houston Texas with group Cosmonauts to plan for Amateur Radio on the International Space Station.

I grew up in USA. The media here has constantly made Russia out to be our enemy. News shows movies everything. The real Russia is so beautiful and its people are so meek and amazing. I'm grateful my parents raised me to respect everyone. Goes to show how manipulated everyone's media is:( The majority of humankind is beautiful and kind. Your videos remind us of that:) Thank you!
  • Wow! Russian villages are beautiful, so much greenery, rivers and not not to mention nice people. Unlike what we hear about Russia. I love the man who showed you around his compound, very generous man. He almost didn’t want you to go. Lol Please write to him and let him know that he’s a Celebrity and he’s being watched all over the world. Give him my free from Zambia Southern Africa
  • I've been to Russia twice in the last two years and I absolutely love the country. Thanks for a great video.

  • Douglas is a treasure! God bless him! Feeling sorry for the rabbits! I had a East German great grand mother who used to cry when they had to kill a chicken, I understand Douglas! Thanks for sharing this lovely experience.
  • @diamondtran8331

Самая большая ценность в нашей стране это не нефть, не газ, не золото и прочие полезные ископаемые, самая большая ценность у нас это наши люди, какие же добрые, простые люди в деревнях живут
  • @carlopton
The old gentleman's home reminded me of my grandfather's home. His kindness, the cherries, the plums, and so on. On the other side of the world from Kentucky, and still so much the same.

I grew up in Cuba when Soviet Union was trading with Cuba and helping Cuba. I had the most beautiful childhood ever. So much freedom and security for the children there was and so many fun activities. No cars in the neighborhoods, no drugs, no delinquency. Cuba was a country for children and elders. It is too bad that the Soviet Union dissapeared. Cuba is not the same anymore. I will travel to Russia someday to thanks this beautiful country for my wonderful childhood which I treasured inside me and it gives me the strength I need to survive in this lonely place full of people that only care about money called USA
