I started Keto carnivore Dr. Berry's way for a few months now. Lost 30 pounds reversed my diabetes, no more IBS or reflux, no more gas issues. My BP is dropping. My kidneys are healing, even my brain is working better, I breatth better. My nails and hair are growing. My joints don't hurt like they used too. My headaches are seriously reduced. I went off metformin. Wow. Amazing. Thank you Dr Berry. BTW. I journaled it all. Every thing I ate. My Blood sugar every day.

What happens too often in the doctor's office is this: A patient does keto on his own, and the doctor sees that the patient (1) lost 25 pounds (2) lowered his fasting blood sugar (3) lowered his blood pressure (4) lost his eczema (5) improved his mood (6) got rid of his digestive ailments (7) raised his "good cholesterol" (HDL) and (8) drastically lowered his triglycerides. But then the doctor sees that the LDL went up, and declares that this diet is unhealthy, Such a doctor simply needs to learn the science around cholesterol, and to stop taking medical advice from congressional committees and other bureaucrats.

5 months ago my daughters and granddaughter took a girls getaway weekend and I couldn’t go because i knew I was unable to walk and keep up with them. I I’m 63 yes old and don’t want to miss another opportunity to spend time with my family. After crying and feeling sorry for myself I opened YouTube and started searching. I’ve lost 38 lbs already and my kids are planning all the things we can do together next summer. They are so proud of me. Keto is sustainable it’s a lifestyle not just a diet and I feel better than I have in years.

Just a word of caution for us older folks doing keto. I will never forget when I went to urgent care and showed my Medicare card to the receptionist. She looked up at me and rudely said “why are YOU on this?” I literally looked too young.

  • @MacedonianHero
I was 304 lbs and had an A1C of 8.4 and high bp. Now, I'm off my bp meds, A1C is 5.5 and I've lost 82 lbs in 1 year. It works and likely saved my life!
  • My story isn't about weight, and I often regret that these conversations focus on obesity, although I understand why that's the case. I went carnivore about a year ago, at age 63, and eliminated my eczema and blepharitis, which more than one doctor told me wasn't curable, only manageable. The relief I experienced from ending that wretched itching is indescribable. I hope anyone with a chronic condition takes matters into their own hands and researches the proper human diet. You do NOT need to suffer. And the solution is FREE. That's why it's unpopular.

It was so wonderful to hear Dr. Atkins mentioned and how wonderful he was. I remember when I bought his first book in the late 1970's. He was a true pioneer and his reputation has been sullied since his death. This made me really mad. I think he deserves A LOT more credit than he presently gets. It says on Wikipedia that his diet is still considered the most popular FAD DIET in America. Excuse me?! I am so glad to see him being recognized recently with the respect that he deserves.
  • @wizkidsvideos
Love Dr Berry’s attitude of not holding back. He’s such a straight shooter. People need to get “mad as hell and say we’re not gonna take this anymore.” Great interview and information. ❤️❤️❤️
  • "If it has an ingredient list, that's a product, not food." I love that !! So well said !!
  • @1eingram
The problem with telling people who are carb addicted they can have a little sugar is analogous to telling an alcoholic they can have a little alcohol.
  • I went to my Primary Care Dr. on Oct. 7, told him I had started Keto the end of Sept, and had lost about 15 lbs. He said "I have heard a lot, and that's great. If it works for you, keep it up"! I love my PCP.

The keto way of eating has changed my life at age 63- lost 90 pounds, improved glucose levels, was able to stop blood pressure meds. I feel better than when in my 40s.
  • @amyb6747
I stopped eating carbs three years ago and my hip stopped hurting as well as losing 70 pounds plus I experienced many other health benefits.
  • Love you both, you’ve changed my life. I started Keto in March 2018, lost 123 lbs., A1C now 5.28 down from 9.45, off all Metformin, cured my excema, more energy than when I was in my 20’s, inflammation gone, arthritis much better, clear thinking, I turned 70 in July 2020.
  • @joebelcher5689
I started KETO at 5'6" and 270 pounds. I did KETO for about a year and stalled at 232 pounds. I then discovered Intermittent fasting in September 2021. I am at 171 pounds and still losing, A1C at 5.5, and tapering off diabetes meds. Thank you Drs. Berry, Westerman, Jsaon Fung, and the lovely Neisha.

Keto is for everyone, thin, obese, young, elders, even toddlers. Promotes healthy heart, immune system, all over body organs and blood. I’m 75 , down 40 lbs, no meds, and feeling alert & strong. No more snoring or dry eyes. Beautiful eating plan for good health.
