  • Never quit doing cardio!! Take it from an old man. Cardiovascular health is the most important thing as you age. You let yourself get out of shape in your 30s or older it is SO much harder to get it back than when you were in your 20s. Always take care of your heart. Even if you gain more slowly its worth it.

    Dude has been dieted and disciplined for damn near two decades. He obviously chose to let loose and go for it because he knew he had what it takes to rebound as well as he probably just wanted to give up and enjoy life for a minute. This isn’t the worst idea in the world when you actually know what you’re doing and why. Just, as he mentioned, didn’t really accomplish anything.

    You were the person who made me finally take my sleep apnea serious; after listening to your appearance on JRE. When you explained in detail what it does to the body and how deadly it can be. I'm not a young gym bro but rather a 44 year old rookie dad, that lost my younger brother a couple of years ago, to a heart attack. He was only 40 years old. So I owe it to both my baby brother and my infant son named after him, to not go down that same road. So you're message is being heard loud and clear, by at least one person. Thank you sir.

    I tried to dirty bulk when I started college in 2016 lmao. Went home for the summer, tried out my mom's blood pressure cuff, and it was about the same as Jeff's was. Back to clean eating I went 😂😭

  • Dang bro, the story about your friend hits close to home. I had a blood clot in my leg at age 24. I hobbled around on it for about a week thinking I had some weird tendonitis in my knee (which didn't make sense given my activity level at the time, and the amount of swelling in my leg). Had it not been for my sister-in-law, who is a PT convincing my wife to drag me to the ER immediately, I probably wouldn't have done anything about it. It could have easily dislodged and caused a pulmonary embolism.

    Sorry to hear about your friend Derek. I also got a blood clot in my calf, happened whilst preparing for a bodybuilding contest. Was also initially misdiagnosed as a skin infection. Scary similar set of circumstances.
