I always wanted to play this level as a Y-wing... until I remembered I barely escaped the explosion while flying an X-Wing at full speed with the s-Foils closed most of the way, so a Y-Wing wouldn't really work so well

It still surprises me just how much more difficult this game is than the other two Rogue Squadron games, in those the real challenge is in getting all the medals in this one it's a struggle to beat it. I did but I never did get all the medals on this one because levels like this and Battle Of Endor were too annoying to make me even attempt to grind away for 100% completion. It's a shame because difficulty aside this is probably the best game of the three. The coolest levels and most iconic battles that you want to play and better graphics than N64 yet a much more pure space flight simulator than the third one that got really gimmicky and had third person shooter missions.
  • this level is evil! i played the game multiple times since it came out- i could never ever ever beat this level. i beat it once by pure dumb luck- to which i still don't know how i was able to do it to this day- and ever since then, fails. fails. fails. ever since then, when i get to this level, i just go to the two unlockable Vader levels, pretend those are the final levels, and leave it at that. whoever programmed this mission was feeling dickish that day. if they ever do do a trilogy compilation for the Switch- which is just wishful thinking- they better patch this mission up BIG TIME.

Most unbeatable level ever put into a game. Instant lose every fucking time. I get blown up & so does the falcon. No strategy that can be used. A 300 aircraft job given to 2 aircraft. At least the battlefront games dont expect 1 man to do the work of a hundred
