Did any of these artists surprise you?

A comedian once said; "You know, Sinatra once saved my life in Vegas-I was getting beaten up by some people, and he came along, and said; Ok Guys, that's enough..."

Paul mccartney was more of a father to julian lennon than john lennon, that's all i'm saying...
  • Eric Clapton? The dude wrote a whole album about being in love with his friends wife

i've noticed that fans may excuse even child molesters. it just has to be their fav band or musician.
  • @Adamguy2003
I'd have included John Lennon. He sang about everyone living in peace and harmony, even as he was verbally and at times physically abusive towards his son and both of his wives.

Where is the story on terrible musicians who were actually really nice people?
  • @guitaristxcore
To be fair, Keith Richard's should have known better than to touch someone else's guitar without permission.

I have friends that have personally dealt with Steven Tyler in the past on personal and professional levels, and what is in this video about him isn't even the worst by a mile.

ok, abusive is awful, but why and how does "anti-establishment" count as a character flaw for Brian Jones? that's not a flaw for a rock star it's a prerequisite.
  • Read a story about Johnny Paycheck, he was gonna play a party for the Hells Angels once but got so drunk before the show he couldnt perform. So the Angels hired him again, but this time George Christi sent two angels to his hotel room and wouldn't let him drink or leave. He performed the next night sober.
  • Trust me, I believe in that “ do not meet your idols” concept. Sometimes it can be confusing , and heartbreaking. Or enlightening. Who knows? They are people like us, they’re not cartoons. They’re not always happy. Or sad. Or rude. Or polite. You love their art and sometimes worship and follow someone who really doesn’t want to be the leader of anything, just write songs. They are people.

If adultery is so very very terrible, why isn’t John Lennon on this list?
  • Johnny Paycheck also abandoned his two young daughters. They live as adults now in a small town in California.

Sinatra acted that way because he was protected by the Mafia.

You can impress the world, but true success is when you are revered and respected by those who are the closest to you.

OMG FAMOUS PEOPLE DO BAD STUFF??? ITS LIKE THEY'RE NORMAL PEOPLE OR SOMETHING!??
  • You gotta admit that Keith Richards starting a rebellion in elementary school is fucking bad ass
