  • As a migraine sufferer, I am so sorry for those that go through it. It is horrible.
  • I hate when people say they have a migraine when it’s just a simple headache. I get migraines from energy drinks, sleep pattern and intense physical activity. They’re the worst!

These do nothing for me. When will the medical system actually take Migraines seriously?
  • @sbmarshall
I used to have very strong migraines with aura and, in my case the cause was butter. I stopped eating foods with butter and I never had migraines again (except if I eat something with butter by mistake). I hope this information helps someone; it saved me!

Triggers: caffeine or abrupt caffeine withdrawal, chocolate, citrus, bananas, msg, bacon and lunch meats and ham (due to the nitrates and nitrites) , all nuts, aged cheese of any variety, figs and dates, dried fruits (due to silfites), pickles, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, fava and broad beans, avocado (she states the opposite), onions, although green onions are ok. I'm a migraine sufferer and have studied the hell out of this.
  • It's a relief to see that am not alone.. My main triggers are light, watching too much TV and using my phone in darkness.. Haven't done research on food but after watching this video i have realized that it also may be true because, here in Tanzania we use peanut and tomatoes in many of our foods, I also like to eat eggplant plus potatoes..

I feel like someone went inside my head and is just repeatedly punching the sides of my forehead from the inside...

amazing information here...I am a small frame person and consume my fair share of a favorite night shade -potatoes daily/and actually crave tomatoes......
  • I had migraine when I work in middle east during 2011 it was really a very hot and dry summer when it happen, I notice it that whenever I ate MARS chocolate it triggers. My migraine so intense that I feel nauseated and it wore me down from morning till night. Now I am cured thanks to my own research. I really do my intensive research and finding ways to be healed. I learned from my research to eat almond nuts, salty foods like dry fish and also celery I put it in my soup or salad, furthermore, I never ate MARS cholate no more it works now, I never have episodes of excruciating pain , now I'm leaving without attack for 12 yrs and I share same remedy to my friends.
  • mine start when the weather changes. We have had 6 days of rain/snow mix weather. The sun is shinning today but my migraine came on with vengence this morning. Unable to focus my eyes on the bright light. Going to lay down in a dark room.

I've been having migraines for years and over time I've only developed more triggers and more symptoms. It's horrible. I'm trying my hardest to cut out any triggers but it's hard to keep living life like that. And there's factors I can't control, like barometric pressure and hormonal headaches. I have Theraspec glasses to help with light triggers and I've cut out several foods. I have an oil roller than I keep handy a well as an eye mask. I use blue light filter on all my devices. And I'm on daily medication. But I still get migraines 4-5 times a month, if there's no rain. It's honestly miserable.

I get heat induced migraines (and from other causes, too). They are the worst! I live in Texas and spend 5-6 months of the year avoiding the heat. God bless all with migraines. What a bummer.
  • @luluwinke6581
right off the top - the barametric pressure changes! I thought so. I live in Honolulu, and had noticed that this could be the reason and now you say this is indeed a trigger! I am so glad that I can figure this stuff out on my own without having to be probed by a zillion specialists....mainly, my triggers are, disrupted sleep pattern, Godiva Choclate/raspberry, red wine- mainly the combo of red wine, and not going to bed the normal time......late in life here now and am able to deal with the wavy line in my right eye, minimal problems that I can deal without major ones as when I was younger. So interesting.
  • Awesome tips there! What is a good book you recommend to heal migraines? I work from home and had to quit my job at a stage due to getting 4 migraines a month. After a migraine I feel completely "wasted" as if all my energy has been depleted, similar to epileptics after a fit). I also want to ask for your thoughts or recommendations on what careers would be good for migraineurs working from home. What can migraineurs take or do to increase energy levels after a migraine attack?
  • So it’s 12:00am I’m tried, weak and hungry just waking up after a day long migraine. To fix myself I need to eat, whilst the nausea is at bay, so I thought I’d check what I could get away with. Good to know I can eat nothing but kale. great 👍🏻
