What happened to supporting children through puberty ! I can remember what a confusing time it was. I just needed the support of my family and friends. I understand that some might benefit from psychotherapy but how did that jump to puberty blockers even be a thing ! I had some counselling ( glad it was in the 80s ) Heads should role for this !

The people who've taken over this branch of care are scary. One, this needs to be stopped. And two, I hope that the good people who work in this branch will keep working there and not give up.

I remember the 70s and 80s when the Tavi had a stellar reputation. It was considered THE place to work or send your kids. Seems those at the top got too big for their boots and thought they could try out whatever wanted using teenagers as guinea pigs. Disgraceful So glad they've now got what they deserve!

Utter bs. I.,along with all the other kids I knew at that time, were very much looking forward, indeed boastful, of the changes in their bodies up to adulthood. Being gay wasn't a 'thing' back then and none of us would've cared anyway.

What I do not get, humans have been going through puberty for millions of years, yes it’s a difficult time( you just got married at age 15 back then) but we all have come out ok somehow. Why! Are kids having so many problems now? It’s manufactured.
