It can get expensive to buy packing cubes, toiletry bags, a packable backpack, and a sling before your next trip. But while youā€™ll save lots of money shopping on discount sites like Temu, we wondered how much quality takes a hit. We got our hands on some travel products to see if itā€™s worth exploring, or if youā€™re better off saving your pennies for a high-quality version.

Would you buy travel gear from Temu? šŸ“¦āœˆ
  • @Brandon-0028
Hey Lauren! Hey Tom! So, what I will say is that I don't really care so much about bargain items so much. Lauren and I had this discussion when I visited HQ. I prefer to purchase and invest in quality for the long term, reduce waste, and encourage re-use. But what I will say is that watching you both interact completely off script is the only thing PackHacker has been missing. Its cool to just hear these ad-hoc conversations around products by two people experts in the industry. Great video! I hope you all area doing great!
  • @SandyWalsh
One of the best videos from y'all in a while. Appreciate the casual banter and less structured format. Feels like an honest review.
  • @emersonjane23
I appreciate the balanced view on this. While many people may not support Temu, this was actually a helpful video to demonstrate why someone MAY NOT want to purchase from Temu. Sharing views and educating is a good thing. And I really liked the casual style of this video! Still subscribed! šŸ˜†
  • @sooj_mp4
I wouldn't really buy stuff from TEMU but I really liked the casual, conversational style in this video!
  • @jordfink
Respect for being honest and casual, this is a great approach and I prefer it to your usual video style. Also, respect for showing off more realistic options for customers rather than constantly just pushing expensive brands like your channel used to. Come a long way. Big W šŸ‘.
  • @massacmongo995
The trouble with many Chinese knockoffs is that initially they are of good quality but after a period of time they start to maximize the profit at the cost of quality . So buy these items soon after they appear . If you wait they won't be as good
  • I like the conversation style of these videos more than your planned videos. As I am not a native speaker, it is very challenging to follow you on your planned videos. But these are way more easy for me to understand. And I like the surprise effect within the conversation. The rubber cover looked very good for me. My case is a very noisy one and not easy to roll.
  • @LuxConcordiae
underrated channel! I just love geeky stuff like this
  • @QueensNative
That sling is going to go from $6 to $16 šŸ˜‚ Great videoā€¦ fun to watch. I shop on TEMU for knick knacks like zipper pulls, velcro cord organizers, spray bottles, and an array of pouches. Havenā€™t been disapointed yet. I wouldnā€™t purchase anything more than $5 though.Ā  I will say that TEMU vendors do supply a lot of overpriced Amazon itemsā€¦ people buy them from temu for low and mark them up for Amazon resaleā€¦ so theres thatā€¦ a lot of items on Amazon quite litterally come from the same vendors.
  • @NPofficer
I love how you explained the anchor points for the first sling
  • @mtrzzz
I get astonished of how cheap things are flushed into the market for a lot of different reasons, be it as a independent bagmaker myself knowing how much of work and time and materials are needed to get it done, and in this case how many people are required to. But 2 dollars? 6 dollars? i know little "small" brands sometimes go far beyond the limits of pricing their products and they are free to do it, but jeez 6 dollars? Multiply those human made goods by 4 or 5 and we could start talking other than labor issues.
  • @cari4163
Iā€™ve always loved your videos but I cackled out loud multiple times on this one. Listening in to 2 good friends having a convo and cracking jokes about their gear was fun! Please do more of this style.
  • @TheRetroPitstop
So I bought similar zipper "repair" kit and they worked great for the broken beanbag chair zipper I had. The "handle" or tag or whatever its called part of the zipper broke off and couldn't get enough leverage to unzip otherwise. The zipper thing made it so much easier. Are they great no. But work in a pinch. Probably could have used a heavy duty safety pin or plyers but this is a slightly nicer quick cheap fix. Love the way that suitcase looks. Def going to check out your carry on luggage vid now!
  • @michaelludvik
Love the video. I had the suitcase wheels on a recent trip to Japan and found they have a flaw - if your wheels are close to (but above) the minimum size recommended, the rubber will rotate at a different rate to the wheel. This means the rubber will work its way off your wheel. I lost 1 in the arrival airport, and the remainder shortly after. That said, they'd probably work well if your suitcase has bigger wheels
  • @cryptidbeanie
love love love this video style, super natural feeling and engaging
  • @rrludman
All of your videos are great but this was so much fun to watch. Please do more like this.
  • @lisaprins8285
Best video you have ever done! I watch them all but seeing you just talk instead of being so scripted made it 100 times better. PLEASE do more videos like this!
  • @jkirstyn
    Loving these types of videos!!!
