What's a typical day like for a Parisian woman at the helm of an international brand? Loïc Prigent follows Jeanne Damas, the creator of ROUJE, through her frenetic daily routine. First stop: a coffee on the terrace of Square Trousseau, near Bastille. The restaurant belonged to her parents when she was younger, so it feels like home. She recounts her childhood memories of dinners spent with the restaurant's staff, Christmases and birthdays. Her first steps into fashion, too. The designer Jean-Paul Gaultier was a regular at Square Trousseau. She dared to ask him for an internship, and spent a week in his studio. Nathalie Dumeix owned the adjoining boutique. Jeanne Damas spent her afternoons there.

Second stop: the Aligre market, one of the oldest in Paris, to buy some fruit for the office. Jeanne Damas talks about the beginnings of her brand, Rouje, created in 2016. She gives THE tip for naming it right. In the middle of the market stalls, a superb surprise awaits her! And yes, we swear it wasn't planned by the production team (hello Natacha).

Third stop: the ROUJE offices. Jeanne Damas and Loic Prigent get there by bike, the best means of transport in Paris! They stop off at the Place des Vosges in Paris to talk more about Rouje's development. Once there, the day's work begins. On the agenda: fitting the next collection. Lou Menais and Nathalie Dumeix are there to advise her. Jeanne Damas takes the opportunity to talk about the brand's classics, such as the Gabin dress worn by Léa Seydoux in the James Bond film.

The last stop on this busy day is a visit to their new boutique in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Twisted columns. Rooms in a row. Stone floors. Architect Maxime Bousquet has preserved the chic French atmosphere of the district. At the forefront of the shop: Filles en Rouje, the line of beauty products. Lipstick, of course. And, more recently, skincare products. "The idea behind Les Filles en Rouje is to offer a very relaxed, instinctive approach to beauty".

And to round off this day, a red glass on the terrace. It's all come full circle.
