Well... Henry Cavill Did Not Return As Superman During Comic-Con | SDCC 2022

Disappointed? Don't care?

I mean, he's in Europe filming the next season of The WItcher so why would he fly for a one-day appearance at SDCC? People had to be more skeptical here. However, the public wanting it so much could act as a sign to WB/DC that he has to return.

As a non-Snyder fan of DC (aside from "Man Of Steel" & "Watchmen"), even I wanted to see Henry Cavill's Superman.

Honestly Warner Bros are going to have to make up their mind about Henry Cavill someday soon. It'll soon be a decade since his last solo outing. If they don't want him anymore just let him go officially. I hope he joins the MCU as Hyperion or something, he plays a superhero wonderfully.

Here's the thing, even though there hasn't been any new info regarding Cavils return as Superman, there has never been any announcement regarding him leaving the role either. So we've all been on this long ride of uncertainty and it's so weird that WB hasn't made any official statement which may mean there may be a card up someone's sleeve and it just isn't the time.

I knew this was all BS. Fans need to stop overhyping things. All they are doing is setting them self up for disappointment

I definitely didn’t expect it, the whole rumor seemed to come from a couple lines in a single article being blown out of proportion by clickbait media

I think it is WB's responsibility to clarify that they will never have Henry Cavill play Superman ever again. I wasn't expecting him to show up but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the thought of him showing up excited me. They have to clarify for two reasons. 1. Fans of Henry Superman feel used everytime they tease Superman and it always causes an uproar. 2. To avoid disappointment from the fans. I know they never confirmed that he'd show up but fans will always be expecting him until WB balls up and say out loud, "We will never call Henry back"

We can only "hope" that Henry returns

If the WB don't want him back as Superman then they should say something officially so we can all move on with all our lives.

People just need to stop having these conspiracies and unsubstantiated expectations that end up killing their joy, and that goes for plenty more things than just this Henry Cavill event. It was annoying when people started complaining that WandaVision rumors weren't satisfied, same with the new Doctor Strange movie, and so many other events that have happened with superhero media recently. You end up spoiling your own fun. WB isn't responsible for upholding a wish that hasn't been confirmed or clarified by them. Lay it to rest and move on.

When a creditable source like Deadline reported the rumor, I was hyped but now I lost respect for them. Like I was so hyped for Henry's return.

What if the person who made the rumor just got confused and said DC instead of Marvel, and Henry Cavill shows up next to Kevin Feige 😂

Kevin Feige should grab Henry and show DC how to use him properly

Always excited to hear from DC and Marvel at comic con, but I always have zero expectations on what will be revealed or shown.

Henry Cavill can join the MCU he play Captain Britain or Sentry.
