99% of rawaccel users stop just before they find their perfect curve
  • @ViscoseOCE
Wasn't expecting to see my vid mentioned here, thanks so much for the shoutout!! it was rly interesting seeing ur thoughts on accel but especially your breakdown of each accel curve, doubly so since we seemed to settle on similar options. I struggled to adjust to super harsh "jump" curves and motivity felt the most intuitive for me as well but I still ended up preferring no accel. I'd be curious to see if you run into the same roadblock I did with it if you end up sticking with it long term, but I agree that it's something that there's no reason not to at least try out :D
  • @Curree8
4:25 This can be alleviated on any type of curve which provides you the "offset" option, meaning whatever value you provide the offset, your entire curve will shift that direction to the right. This gives you a "safe" amount of movement space for micros on your actual sens before accel actually kicks in
  • just wanted to say I recently got recommended your videos and have enjoyed all of them. this is high quality content, especially the 3d printing mini pc madness. thanks for making it and keep up the great work!

Not me thinking that mouse acceleration is the reason for my bad aim, only to find out that it was never on😓
  • @MrMaxim
I tried this myself over a two-week period. I share the same sentiments especially with the first portion of your movement being accelerated. I went with "jump" first then "motivity" just like you. My conclusion was that its effectiveness depends a lot on the game you play. In a game like CS2 I found it to be generally worse for me overall.

Multi-year aim accel user here. You hit the nail on the head with this video. Aim accel is an awesome tool with lots of potential and a versatility that can be applied to many different aiming scenarios. A few months ago, after seeing Viscose's video on why they stopped using it, I decided to give it a try. I've really enjoyed playing on a static sensitivity again, but my journey as a mechanical player has been greatly impacted for the better by the years I spent playing with aim acceleration. For anyone who hasn't tried it, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot. Challenge your aim, get out of your comfort zone, master different kinds of aiming across different sensitivities and scenarios, and use sensitivity as the tool that it is, switching it up to best suit the requirements of a situation.

I've been playing FPS a long time and always played with no accel. Saw your video yesterday and went straight into trying your 1.3 motivity settings.. Didn't even have to really get used to it, felt very intuitive almost immediately and made me so much more dynamic. Can't believe mouse accel is good.

as usual an awesome and well researched video, love your content!
  • @jannb1790
I usually enjoy all of your vids always just quality content and no bs. But this blew my mind, i started with the motivity curve an tuned it a little bit and played with the dpi settings and after 3 or 4 days my aim was far better than before. I usually dont win the gunfights at closerange but can hit my snipes. Now it feels far more natural at any range and flicking and tracking is now much more consistent. Before I constantly adjusted my sense and it never felt quite right. Thank you so much and keep up the exelent work.

Heard the Wooting collab, can't wait!! 👍 ;)
  • @H53.
Your method for calculating lower sensitivity and higher sensitivity helped a lot, I am now not using Raw Accel randomly like I did before; I'm using it with intention.
  • @chillzzzlol
thank you so much for making this video i used your linear settings at 3:37 and i was only hitting headshots so thank you so much i love this stuff
  • @Trapremix_ow
omg i absolutely love your linear settings made my aim 10x better
  • Nice video! I've been using Raw Accel for quite a while, but I've stopped playing FPS games so it's really more about comfort for me
  • @simoSLJ89
