‧˚꒰ 🐈‍⬛ ꒱⋅˚₊‧. NOTE hey guys! this sub is very, very detailed so the video's a bit longer than usual. however, i put a lot of thought, love, and care into this edit. if you're a fan of mlp, you'll know i put the EPITOME of family moments here: the apple family trip, the apple family and pie family winter special, and the pear and apple reconciliation. these moments in the show, i believe, are realistically beautiful representations of family. they do anything but hide the hardships of family life, but they certainly show that overcoming said hardships is always possible as long as you are all together. if you're not a fan of mlp (or haven't watched mlp in a long time) but would like some context on the edit: • SECTION 1: pinkie pie and the apple family traveled to the apple family's great auntie and family historian, goldie delicious, in order to officially figure out if pinkie was genetically related of the apple family. however, it ends up that goldie delicious's genealogy book is smudged, so pinkie is sad when she can't know for sure if she is an apple. fortunately, the apples readily accept them as one of their own, even if it is not confirmed, because family can be chosen, too. • SECTION 2: the pie family (pinkie's folks) and the apple family decide to celebrate hearts-warming together at the pie family's rock farm (it is as bare and bleak as it sounds). the entirety of the episode shows the struggles of the two families getting along. the pie family are rock farmers with an amish-like, minimalist lifestyle. in contrast, the apple family is classicaly southern, so the lack of grand, festive traditions held at the rock farm confuses them. in an attempt to "improve" the pies' traditions, applejack tries to introduce the apple traditions. unfortunately, everything goes wrong and applejack's attempt to share their traditions ends up mistakenly coming off as ill intentioned. in the end, the families reconcile and realize that instead of trying to overwrite either one's traditions, they should embrace them both. • SECTION 3: applejack, apple bloom, and big mac's parents were pear butter and bright mac. long ago, pear butter and bright mac loved each other deeply, despite the heated, business rivalry between the pear and apple family. one day, grand pear, pear butter's father, announces to her that they'll be moving. in an attempt to salvage their relationship, pear butter and bright mac marry on that very night. granny smith and grand pear are very upset, but grand pear is so furious that he leaves ponyville without so much as saying goodbye to his daughter. years later, grand pear moves back to ponyville, and unwittingly inspires applebloom, applejack, and big mac to finally learn the love story about their parents. in the end, grand pear apologizes and expresses his remorse, and the apples and pears officially reconcile with the help of pear butter and bright mac's immortalized love. anyways, i wanted to say that i used the general term "family" rather than specific terms since it's fair to assume that i'm sure we all have different views on who is and isn't family. i also wanted to preface that i do not refer to biology or genealogy in this sub. family is family! finally, you will manifest DESIRED RESULTS ONLY! ‧˚꒰ ☁️ ꒱⋅˚₊‧.
