Thank you so much for this video. I was eagerly waiting for a video on Meteora. We are visiting in late May and this is really helpful!

Just came back from 15 day cruise that ended in Athens. Me and my wife took your advice and visited some of the sites you recommended in your previous videos. You were spot on! Enjoyed our visit very much! Athens is one city everyone should experience at least once in there lifetime!

I visited Meteora last month, monastery of St. Stephen and monastery of St. Barbara (aka Rousanou). They did allow guided tour groups, our guide explained every painting on the monasteries' walls. Quite a trip, surreal natural views, will never forget it!
  • This is super helpful, thank you so much. I appreciate such a detailed and practical information!

I did this same tour just over a week ago...it was pouring rain and windy, but it was still amazing! The train also has a restaurant car.

I guess, a lot of people have said this but your videos Sebestian are the best on Greece for people who are planning a trip to Greece. Super concise, sharing all relevant information without any fancy frills and adjectives. Simply great!

Best travel advice channel out there
  • Another wonderful and informative video. I did the 2 day with Delphi and Meteora. We only saw 2 monasteries- St. Stephens and St. Barbara’s. St. Stephens was not as strict on the dress code as St. Barbara’s. At St. Barbara’s, the nuns were selling long scarves/pashminas to both men and women for €30. You were not allowed into St. Barbara’s if you didn’t have the skirt or long pants and didn’t buy the scarf/pashmina.

loved it! I got a train from my solo travel to Athens, then ran to all the monasteries for a day, then the next I did the famous Meteora trail run. Any runners out there, the Meteora trail run is the best trail run I've ever done, and you should use the opportunity to do it. It's not easy but i was still able to get drunk both nights and enjoy the other things!

Looking forward to visiting in 24. Thank you so much for all your videos 🇦🇺🦘
  • Update: devastating floods have rendered the trains inoperable. Tour operators have switched to using buses. The drive is about 5 hours from Athens, but there is a stop along the way (to and from) where you can buy food, drinks, go to the bathroom and stretch your legs. Because of the length of the ride, I would recommend you take a two-day tour. We got in a wonderful Sunset Tour when we arrived, and a wonderful guided hike the next day. In between we enjoyed Kalambaka.

I am going to visit Greece for 10 days in May. Your videos are very useful. Hope to see more videos about Athens coming soon 😊
  • Thank you for you excellent portfolio of videos. We are going to be only a few days in Greece and researching what to do would have taken so many more hours without your detailed and expert tips.
