For 30 consecutive days, I had full creative freedom where I just made a bunch of different animations in Blender. In this video I'm going through every scene with as many details as I can remember. Each of the scenes could probably have been a separate video of their own, so this is not a tutorial, but more like a breakdown video that hopefully can inspire or give a peek behind the curtain. Thanks for watching!

I feel I have to add a disclaimer: I'm calling this a "breakdown" video, but in retrospect it ended up being less of an actual breakdown and more of a "guy opens a bunch of project files on his computer and tries to remember what he did last month". But I still hope it's valuable or inspiring to some degree, even though there are many settings I forgot to talk about. Thanks for watching!

31:28 I love that you can see him either getting the thought or fighting it before saying the line

The Truck scene is on point, everything looks so perfect and realistic, even the drone movement.
  • @nournada10
Loved this video. As someone who is still learning blender not only is it super cool to see these breakdowns it is super helpful to get a sense of how you did the projects.

Hey Asbjorn! Thanks for the great overview! As for adding more details to the smoke (21:20), a fancy shader can help. I did this when using low resolution VDBs. Just mix a noise texture with the VDB density and voila! Btw. It's funny to watch this channel as a Polish person. The logo looks like Poland and when you talk about curves upon curves upon curves and so on (33:47), it reminds me of how angry people talk in Poland. I'm sorry! Just a funny coincidence. šŸ˜‚

The Doc Ock quote absolutely killed me šŸ˜‚. Excellent video, AsbjĆørn!

Wow the amount of creativity is insane, well done poly
  • @MrNotAGamer
nice i saw the original video and it had been a long time since i saw an animation come even close to being as good as yours
  • This is great. And it's good to see an ars gratia artis project like this, pushing the envelope and seeing what's possible in terms of hardware development.
  • You make me speechless always. Every example gave me literal 100's of ideas. Thank you so much
  • This breakdown was very thorough and I have learnt a lot of things from this. Thank you so much for this video. I always wondered how you made all your different projects and now I know a lot more on how these are made.

This was very inspirering, the screen shot blowed my mind but is in fact pretty simple! I noticed the drone wasn't properly reacting with the smoke because I know how much air drones move, but the shot still hold up very well
