Whenever anyone talks about great teams in esports, they usually just want to talk about the superstars. But as often as these gods might bask in the warmth of the spotlight, sometimes they’re known to burst into flames when they’re forced under it. But for Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth things are a little different.

When he's the only one alive, it's the enemy team that has to clutch
  • @marcistrash9578
Opponent 1: "theres no way he clutches this" Opponent 2: "its Xyp9x..." Opponent 1: "there's no way we clutch this"

A video on the Clutchminister himself, while Astralis win the fastest ever BO5 in CSGO.

Xyp9x is that defensive midfielder who literally never fails a pass and you don't really notice him, but when he's transferred the team becomes utter trash. You know one of those.

s1mple: I would say xyp9x. I respect xyp9x because he wins a lot of important clutches and if it's going to happen against us in some crucial rounds, I will be sad. anders: So, if you're in a 1v1, do you look at the scoreboard and see who's left? s1mple: You don't look at scoreboard, you look at on top of picture, you know, you see this funny xyp9x face, like "I'm ready to fuck you"

9:00 Just look at Astralis' coach Zonic. He's standing there like: "How? How are you this good?"

Opponent 1: “we got this 3v1 easily” Opponent 2 and 3: Why do I hear boss music Xyp9x intensifies

Xyp9x looks like he's 50 and 20 at the same time.
  • @stavy303
This is brutal, at least 2 times you showed G2 getting railed by Astralis and as I speak G2 is getting absolutely dumped by Astralis on Vertigo
  • @convi346
2v1 situation CT: "Okay who's the last guy?" T: Xyp9x CT: "Dont worry guys, I have a plan" * CT 1 left the game *

The enemy whenever Xyp9x is in a clutch situation: Yeah let's save

You missed one of the most important aspects of the scenarios: Xyp9x is a support player. He is often the one throwing set pieces and pop flashes, which Astralis LOVED. Because of this, him always being back keeps him at high HP, away from duels, and more likely to not die on entry like his teammates. While he is an insane clutch player, he also found himself in these scenarios playing his role to perfection; he wasn't like some players, who play back with hero AK and bait, but rather stepped up whenever his role was complete. (also, his support role means he often doesn't have util in clutch scenarios, forcing him to rely on duels rather than free kills)
